  • Assembly may be a challenge, but in the end a good buy
Size: 8x8
Pros: All the parts were there, clearly labeled, and in pretty good shape. The instructions were sufficiently clear. The finished assembly looks good -- as advertised -- and appears to be rain proof so far. Cons: Assembly is challenging at times. Plastic is deformable and that is good and bad. Parts don't have to be perfect in order to be made to fit; parts are sometimes hard to fit. In particular, "sliding" the roof panels into place was nowhere near as easy as the word "sliding" would suggest. And screwing screws into plastic (often without predrilled holes) was a lot more difficult than it seems it should have been, even with an electric drill, especially when the location of the screw was in an awkward position (for example, certain screws into the roof from the inside). But a slow, methodical approach over several days, with careful attention to the instructions, gets the job done. If I can do it totally by myself -- and I'm almost 70, with no talent for this kind of thing -- anybody with one or two helpers should be able to put the shed together without much trouble. One final note on pricing. Some vendors were pricing this at around $1700. I bought it for $1000 directly from Amazon. The latter price was reasonable for what this shed is. That higher price not so much. ... show more

  • Roof is black, walls quite flexible
Size: 8x8
We bought this shed as a lightweight, HOA-friendly addition to our deck to store folding tables and chairs. It was easy to set up with two people. We set it up in the corner of our deck, with a fence protecting two sides and our house a few feet away protecting another side. It looks really nice and matches well with our house color. What we couldn't do was to stack any of the tables against the walls: the walls would bow out. I ended up building an internal frame (simple, all straight cuts) with 2x4s to reinforce the walls. Now I can lean the tables against the 2x4 frame and the walls don't move. The only other quibble is the black roof: in the Louisiana summer sun, it gets really hot in that shed! An option for a lighter color roof would be nice. I bought some ratcheting straps to try and hold down the shed in case of strong winds. Thankfully haven't had to try those out yet. So if you have a sheltered location to install this shed and don't plan to put weight on the walls, this could work for you out of the box! ... show more

  • One person can assemble it in a single day, but it will wipe you out.
Size: 8x8
Like most vinyl garden sheds, it has a bit of flex to the walls. I built it on a bed of mulch to raise it up off the ground, which helps keep the water from seeping up through the seams in the floor. The floor itself has flex to it, and the metals screws that are provided will work their way through the plastic and become hazards over time if you don't have a solid surface, as I learned. The flex in the floor also contributed to a gap between the floor and the walls, but I sealed it up with expanding foam (which will peel away easily so don't worry about overspray). The shed came with two in-wall shelves which you can install if you wish, but since they're going into vinyl walls I wouldn't want to put any serious weight on it. For that, I suggest buying plastic shelves that stand on their own. I was able to get my shed built over two days because I got a late start on each day. But, if you get cracking at sunrise, you can have the whole thing done by sunset if you power straight through. The floor is built first, so you can get a pretty good idea of the footprint the shed will need. The roof is corrugated vinyl that is supported by vinyl rails and metal struts. I had concerns about water leakage so I sealed the roof and the walls with expanding foam to keep out incidental water. So far it's survived some pretty strong rain and wind without any leaks that I can see. It's attractive and holds more than I thought it would, but I wouldn't plan on leaning anything against the walls or hanging anything from the rafters. Buy shelving units that can stand on their own without any structural support. ... show more

  • Decent considering how expensive other options are
Size: 6x6
This shed is working well to keep some lawn equipment and outdoor toys/bikes dry. It's not going to hold up to much abuse though-the plastic walls wouldn't withstand much impact. There was a bit of shipping/transit damage to the top roof brace and a few of the walls were bent. One of the boxes actually arrived opened and torn apart. Because the wall pieces were bent they were a little bit harder to slide into the corner pieces, but I was able to manage. I assembled the entire shed by myself over an afternoon, using a sledge hammer on the roof as weight to keep the panels in place while I attached the screws underneath. I found installation pretty straight-forward. The shed was installed on a pressure-treated 6x6 platform. It seems a bit overpriced at ~$700 for what it is... but pricing out lumber and materials to build my own would have been at least double, and other kits are even more expensive for the size. Overall pretty happy with it, just be aware of it's limitations due to being constructed of plastic. ... show more
