    • This is a pretty great soak off set
This is actually a pretty nice soak off system for the price. It does seem to take a while to soak off dip powder. It takes 30 minutes or so just to soak one hand. Now, that’s not unusual, but I’m just impatient and that is really not the fault of this soak off set. What I have learned to do is allow it to heat up longer than the instructions say to do. I do keep a very close eye on it to make sure that it doesn’t heat to the point where it dissipates the acetone. For me, allowing it to heat up longer seems to help the acetone soak off the dip powder easier, and quicker, than if I waited the allotted amount of time specified in the instruction manual and then proceed trying to remove my nails. I wouldn’t recommend that. I would stick to what the instruction manual says. I will say this works excellent for gel nail polish. I don’t have any idea how it works on acrylic because I don’t use acrylic nails. It is very easy to clean up and I do like that the bowl is ceramic. It stores nicely because of the size. However, because of the size, unless you have very small hands, you cannot get both hands in the bowl at the same time; which again, is really all on me because I’m impatient and I want both hands soaking at the same time. So I do give this five stars because I would buy it again. It does work great. I wish it was a little larger so that both hands fit, I do not have very large hands. My hands are relatively small but they still don’t fit at the same time. I wish it was larger, but I would buy this again. ... show more

I never write reviews, but I had to for this. I HATE taking gel polish off and I equally hate getting it drilled off by a nail tech. This thing heats up pretty quickly, and the warmth really helps loosen the gel polish. I was able to remove mine in about a half an hour. Follow the instructions that come with, and you should be golden. ... show more

Its nice that this warms up the acetone, so my fingers don't get so cold while I'm stripping off the gel paint or my acrylic nails but honestly it doesn't make it any faster at all. Edit: the owner reached out to try to help trouble shoot the issue I was having. We still don't know why I don't have the desired effect with the product, but I really appreciate them taking the time out of their schedule to try and help me out and make sure I was satisfied. It still doesn't take any time off for me but at least it's warm! ... show more

I've recently become obsessed with learning to do my own dip-powder nails and I quickly learned that removal is the longest and most arduous part of the process. Trying to use the same "foil-over-cotton" method I saw at salons was taking over an hour. As a mom with two small kids I don't have a lot of time to myself and I was wasting it just waiting to get my old dip off. Sometimes by the time I got the old dip off I was too tired and it was too late in the evening to do a new set. I tried multiple brands of acetone and nothing seemed to help....Enter this thing. I bought it after seeing someone rave about it on the "dippowdernails" subreddit. I was a bit hesitant because I don't like owning a bunch of "stuff" that clutters up my home, but this has totally been worth it. Once fully heated up I've been able to get all the old tip off a hand in less than 10 minutes! That's an amazing improvement, and frankly, a game-changer for me time-wise. It' makes doing a new set of nails between the time my kids go to bed and when I need to go to bed on a weeknight possible. I will caveat that I use an e-file to shave off the top portion of the dip and help aid the process. I'm not sure how much longer it would take without. Also, as other reviewers have stated, it does take a while to heat up so you want to turn it on beforehand and let it heat up while you do other prep. ... show more

The product works and does cut down removal time. BUT and this is a recommendation for the company… the acetone gets WAYYY too hot! It literally boils and bubbles in the one I have. So I have to constantly plug and unplug the device so that it is manageable to use. It does work but this continuous action is annoying. I think this product should be updated to include a dial for adjusting the heat to the users preference. ... show more

I was confused if anything was happening for the first 5-10 minutes but after it started ramping up, this baby worked so fast! Removed my gel polish so quickly and cleanly. I will never use my old soak methods anymore. Highly recommend. I also have eczema on my hands and although that part of my hand didn't enter the holes, I didn't have any dry reaction from this at all. ... show more

    • Top wouldn't stay down
Love this product, it gets warm fairly quickly and is easy an comfortable to use. However the top wouldn't stay over the bowl I found it a bit annoying, I also wish it came with a temp adjustment rather than just on an off.
