Bought renewed. As with a lot of these products, it was brand new and never had been opened as far as I could tell. With that we install it to replace uh, fairly modern pioneer radio. My main reason for buying this. What's the really expensive pioneer radio? I had had terrible screen lag. Issues like you. Would I have to wait forever after pressing a button for anything to happen? I just wanted a better experience, and I wanted to not spend a lot of money to try to get that better experience. And this over delivers. It starts up very quick. It's responsive, it actually had quite a few in car customizations with a data link maestro that I didn't see in pioneer. It works with multiple cameras. The UI is clean and makes sense. Android Auto only works over wire, but I've never really had Android. Auto or apple play work very good on any radio. Let alone wirelessly, but it's working perfect over wire. So having it work really well, at least one way is good.Enough for me. One thing I liked about it all these aftermarket, radios don't seem to use the stereo microphone that your vehicle comes with. They have their own, which never sought as good as the one that the factory came with from my perspective, at least not mine. This one has 3 different adjustments. To tune the way your voice sounds to people. Which did help improve it?You can adjust your mic gain, you can adjust the echo cancelation and you can adjust background. Noise adjustment, while it's still not as good as the factory. I was able to make improvements to at least make it passable. When I talk, there's no Echo. And when they talk, there's no echo, but I'm told when we're both talking. There's an Echo. We can't get rid of it, but it's still way better sounding than my prior one. In terms of tuning, the sound that was really straightforward and easy.It's really easy to adjust a crossover points, the slope, the high pass frequency low pass frequency, i was very satisfied with the the sound quality. And now I feel confident to spend another $1500. And high and amplifiers and components, speakers and tweeters, custom c and seed, mounting racks and speaker plates to finish off that part. The one thing I will say that was truly a pain in the butt, was setting up data link maestro. Basically, I learned every maestro has to be custom, flashed to your exact radio and its serial number. You have to set app an account with that company. They're software's crap, and their instructions don't explain what stuff does on it. You just got to use ChatGPT to figure out how to do it. But basically, you have to take the data maestro unplugged from everything, then plug it into your computer with a USB while you're holding down a button on the data maestro. So it puts it into flashing mode that took us good 30 Minutes to figure out how to get it to connect to the computer. So we could flash it and then carefully go through a bunch of menu options and decide what the buttons in your car do. And how it will translate to your radio, like a single press versus a long press. But after I went through it, it actually is all working. And I know I took the time that a radio install company would never do to actually tune it the way I want. I would highly recommend flashing these yourself before you even give it to the installer ... show more

Worked immediately. Like everything and screen is responsive. The volume up button is a bit hanky but the down seems to work. No knob for volume also. It’s up down side button. So it’s hard to change volume while driving unless your car has steering wheel controls and you buy and program the interface module. No mute that I can find either. But I do still enjoy CarPlay in my older car and the stereo sounds good. Am/fm channels don’t seem to get good reception. And I think it may be antenna connection. But if I can’t make the am/fm work it’s going back. ... show more
