The fireplace was installed in a camper. After cutting out the center section in the cabinet I was able to slide it right in. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is because there was no good way to mount it securely. If you remove the front bezel you have to have access to the rear to replace the screws to hold the bezel. I made bracket on the inside of the cabinet and installed small vents in the side for more airflow but also to access the mounts to secure fireplace for transportation. It looks great and provides plenty of heat for this camper. The flame colors are nice as well. Really like the product but would be nice for easier installation. ... show more

Looks good and belts out good heat. Only one very annoying problem that buyers should be aware of: The remote control doesn't come with a battery! Very strange, as the remote even came with the little plastic tab you pull out of the battery compartment to supposedly let the button battery make contact and work. I thought maybe mine was just a fluke and got shipped accidentally without a battery until I read the manual and it actually states that the remote will not have a battery. Seriously... I had to drive to town and buy a 2 pack of CR2025 batteries from Dollar Tree for $1.50. I guess buying a $260 fireplace can't afford you a $.75 battery so you can use all the functions right out of the box. ... show more

We bought this trim kit to go with a Kentsky Electric Fireplace, 40" Electric Fireplace Insert. The trim kit worked perfectly for the space and made the insert look great in our fireplace. It was easy to put in place and can be easily removed if necessary.

The item arrived in good condition. The fireplace looks amazing, I installed it in an entertainment center, it was a perfect fit. Sadly we never tried the heat because it was warm the day it arrived. A cold front moved thru the next day and temps dropped enough to try it out. As soon as the element heats the blower is supposed to engage, that never happened. The entire unit shut down and an error code popped up. Looking thru the discharge, you could see the element was installed crooked and apparently the unit never went thru quality control. Sad a manufacturer lets this out the door without even making sure it actually works. Lucky for me the box was still in my living room. Sad to have to deal with Amazon over a defective unit. I am still waiting for it to be picked up by ups for return. On a second note, I found the exact same fireplace at Home Depot for 40.00 cheaper than Amazon. ... show more
