I have used this product in the past and I don't recall it having such a strong odor. I don't care for the scent, but I don't notice it once the spray is on my hair and dries. The hold is good. Kenra makes quality products. This spray works to hold my fine hair which many other hairsprays do not do. The spray isn't overly heavy allowing movement while holding the style.
