Easy to install works just fine. However, don’t recommend the refrigerator. It’s a whirlpool don’t buy one. All we’ve done is work on it and it’s loud and noisy. They’re pure junk. The silly thing came from a factory leaking caused black mole. All in behind installers, had no idea that the refrigerator itself Had a leak in the valve inside the case ... show more

So many knock offs here it is difficult to ever be sure what your actually getting, but these look to be the same filters I picked up at another site in the past to replace the #1 Whirlpool models that are used in the side by side fridge and fit was fine..

These are packaged and labeled as 46-9081, but do not work. I have had my Kenmore refrigerator for years (Manufactured date 10/2015), and have never had trouble with filters until now. I ordered a two-pack, and they both squealed when I tried to get water from the fridge door, before stopping all together and leaking on the floor. I figured these filters were from a faulty batch, so I returned and requested a new pair. I opened one and the same thing happened. I know it’s not my fridge, because my old filter still works fine, I was able to reinstall that and it works. It’s just been 6 months and it’s time to replace. In examining the new filters, they are minimally shorter and the two plugs are squared off, not rounded, as the previous ones are, therefore it’s not sealing into place when installed. See photos. This results in water leaking on the floor, squealing noises, and then no water flow at all. ... show more
