I got the Twin XL +staircase. It looks exactly like in the pictures. Sturdy, good quality materials. The assembly could have been better if the instructions were more detailed (and precise-it had mistakes- just pay attention). The dimensions were perfect to have a teen computer desk underneath- we added led light on the framing below and looked great. I will add anti-slipping tape on the stairs so kids can use it with socks without risk. The extra metal bar is perfect to add security- it gave me peace of mind and still looked nice for a teen bedroom. The fact it has a shelf really helps, you can put an alarm clock, night light, books, tissue, and have it all handy upstairs. I wish it had a charger as well, but I will buy an extension cord and tape it on the frame for upstarts access. I wouldn’t pay more just for it. So far so good- the bedroom looks spacious and my teen just loved it!

Hardest part was putting slats in. Little tricky.

Laid all pieces out.. mom and daughter built it in about 5 hours. She absolutely adores it. It’s saving so much room Brother-in-law on the bottom bed on top. It was a big deal turning double digits 10 and she is so proud of it.

Dimensions shown are misleading

Overall, a good product, but the dimensions shown are misleading. We purchased this to put a full-sized bed (which measures 75" long) underneath because the drawings showed this dimension as 76.5".... this would give me 1.5 inches to spare! Only after fully assembling the product did I learn that they showed outside dimensions... not inside. In other words, the full bed will not fit after all. Now I will have to perform some woodworking magic to make this work. Pain in the neck.

A game changer in building better habits

I’m an adult. Before, my room was chaos. I have a full size chair and the nightstand, bookshelves, a chest, plus my full size bed. It meant everything I did in the room, I did on the bed. Eating dinner - bed. Knitting- bed. Watching tv - bed. Yoga - bed. Reading - yep, you got it. I desperately needed more space but with rent prices, moving into a 2 bedroom or new apartment is not an option. Problems Solved: This bed frame has solved more problems than I expected. First, it’s given me a space for my large comfy chair and for me to declutter the room and have more intentional zones. (Workout zone, book zone, hobby zone) Secondly, It’s also separated all the non-sleep activities from the bed. There’s studies about keeping the bed for just sleeping as a way to practice better sleep hygiene. This was an impossible habit to build up before. Now it’s amazing. Because of the height, the bed has become just the place to sleep instead of a catchall for all the things I’m thinking and doing. If you need more space or a refresher in your space, get this frame. Get it. Get it! I have the stairs version and the closet space and added shelf space under the stairs is invaluable. Anxiety Gone: Now that I have more space I literally felt my anxiety fade. Instantly. Guys, instantly. I’m still perfecting the setup. There’s a lot of household clutter and unfortunately I cant just elevate everything in my life. But this honestly was a small price to pay for the peace it’s provided. If I had known about this design a year ago I could have saved myself ever increasing burnout and depreciating sleep habits. Setup and Assembly: I had a friend who’s pretty skilled with assembly assist and it took us about 5 hours not accounting for taking down my old frame and setting up the working space, breaks and goofing off. The pieces are pretty sturdy and there were no missing parts or hardware. There are a lot of mystery holes. This didn’t really bother us until we got to the steps section which has double holes drilled overlapping. I don’t know if this was a mistake on the manufacturer. But there are more hole than needed so you do need to be careful and look carefully. The Unfortunate Cons: I did feel I had to reduce the rating due to the holes and the fact that the back panel did not align at all and we couldn’t get one screen in at all. Also the stairs are dangerously slippery. This is not a wood coating I would have recommended for walking on use. It’s really really slippery, guys. I put strips of grippy rubber down along the edges of each stair. But would have preferred if that was already included or attached. I just happened to have the perfect item already but you might need some additions to make it truly comfortable. The cat also slipped on the stairs due to her furry paws so I heavily recommend some grippy strips for your pets’ sake too. The silver bolts are going to be extra visible and I’m not yet sure how much that bothers me to try and paint them white or not. But there’s a lot of them. It doesn’t affect the appearance a lot but if you’re particular about that, you might be bothered. The black version might hide it a bit more. Height/Weight: I’m 5’3, @150lbs and have felt no issues or wobbles with it. Also the cat seems to really really love it. She was cautious initially but now she bounds us the stairs and hops into bed. Pets: I have 1 cat and She loves looking from the shelf/perch. She was skeptical but now is often sitting on the top step or relaxing in the bed even without me. I also put a little cat bed under the long closet space under the top stair. So she still has a dark and “under the bed” type area to hide in. It’s under my clothes that are hanging there so she gets a little getaway without me sacrificing too much of the added space. She also really loves the free and open space on the floor. There’s room now for a yoga mat (see images) and honestly that just builds into the better lifestyle habits for her and me. We have rom to play and guys it’s just been so much better lately. Pro tip: if working with a second person, get a couple of additional hex wrenches. I don’t understand why there were two sizes but there’s many steps when you need both sizes and it helps if you both have a set. Also, we took a sharpie and quickly wrote the letters on the back of the hardware pack and then used a box cutter to open them from the backside. This meant pieces were still in their little trays and couldn’t roll away AND we also still knew which letters were which without flipping the pack back over. This small setup at the beginning saved us honestly. Do it. Read it and do this step. Write the letters on the back of the pack and open it one section at a time. I’m also going to get a foam childproofing strips to put along the edges of the rail. I’m tallying up the time I bonk my head (yes even at 5’3”) and so I’m going to add that and some self adhesive foam on the underside of the rails to help provide a little cushioning. I put a 2 meter long led light strip on the piece under the shelf. The lights are facing upwards so they never shine in my eyes when I standing next to the bed. But it’s under the shelf so the lights doesn’t bother me when I’m in the bed either. With all that though I’d still recommend it. The reduction in clutter and the addition of space is really invaluable. Plus I ordered this during prime days when it was a bit discounted. I’m sure there could be a black Friday deal soon. Good luck with it. Despite my 4 star rating, it is worth it with the mentioned adjustments. I’m sure you’ll love it! I’m aware I wrote a whole book but I hope it helps even just one of you.

The most Wonderful Loft Bed

These beds are wonderful!!! They are very sturdy and the directions were pretty easy to follow. *Before purchasing be sure to measure from the baseboards against the wall on the floor over to the other direction. *Do not measure from the wall, if you have baseboards against the wall. *Make sure you look at all the holes on the poles and the pictures to know which direction the post need to go. *The issue I can see someone having is that the screws labeled (K) in the book are actually labeled (H) on the screw package. It does include 2 different sizes of Allen wrenches and a small Phillips screwdriver that worked well on putting the beds together, just be sure everything is tight. ***Word of Advice: Pages 32-34 are directions for building the shelf. When we built the first bed, we follow the instructions completely. However, when we built the 2nd bed, it was so much easier building the shelf on the floor and then screwing it onto the bed frame. We were building 2 beds for opposite sides of the room. As long as you don't mix up the directions for which bed you are building (A or B), you should do great. *You will need another person to help you build the bed or at least help hold parts of the bed frame. It does take about 2 hours to build, give or take some time. This also depending on how many children want turns to help build, (the steps are a great job for younger children to work on). ***These beds are pretty high up. I would not recommend these for toddlers at all. In my experienced opinion, these are made more for children 10 years and older, great for teens and apartments. We have 2 of these beds now in a small bedroom. We are so thankful that our children now have a place to play, read, and hang out. Before they had to fo most of this in our living room. They love them, and we love them. Highly recommend them and make sure to order the ones **shipped from Amazon.** The price difference evens out with what you would pay for shipping the same bed frame from another company. Also when you purchase something that is shipped from Amazon, you are guaranteed a replacement with the free shipping to send it back or get a full refund. I did lots of research and read through all of the reviews on these beds from other companies for several for months. This was the best ones. *The only complaint we have is that the 3rd step is a little shorter in depth, and would be more sensible and more comfortable if there was more to step on.

works perfectly for tiny adult 🤭

i’ve had this set up for a little over a month now and it works PERFECTLY as i intended. i have the full-size bed frame and my brother and i worked from 7:30p-11p to set it up, no issues, just locked in 🙂↕️ my cats adore it, they think it’s for them😅 i’m not done decorating it completely but i love my new bed setup and wish i had gotten this sooner! it arrived quickly as well (i live in hawaiʻi so it was quite fast) and most parts* were aligned and durable. pls excuse the mess of my photos🙈 *the part that isn’t completely aligned is the top of the stairs—there’s a gap between the wood panels but i don’t mind that since i put a blanket on that stair and my cats like to sleep on it. i bought a 10-inch soft bed and i still have room at the top of my ceiling (8ft tall) when i sit straight up. my siblings and i tried it and the tallest is 5’4” and he still had room to sit up straight while sitting on our bed without hitting the ceiling (he’s thinking of getting one himself lol) ofc i make a point not to make drastic movements when i’m on the bed but my cats have their zoomies on it and it seems fine. all in all, this was a great purchase!!
