This fishing/casting net is very easy to use. It works wonders in shallows areas and or from the back of the boat in deeper water. I use it to catch bait fish from the back of my boat in about 20 ft of water, or from the shore in about 1 ft of water. The net spreads evenly every time, giving you a maximum surface area to catch bait. The net is also very easy to clean or rinse. No debris stays in the mesh. Another great thing about this net is the bag that comes with it. It makes it very easy to carry on and off the boat and provides a great way to store it safely. I strongly recommend this product. I received the cast fishing net I purchased for my son yesterday and after watching a couple of YouTube videos on how to use it, he is hooked (pun intended) It is easy to use, good quality, and the storage bag is functional and fun. Be advised that cast fishing nets are measured by how tall they are when they are held by the horn (the radius) so choose your size wisely.

I want to be honest on this, there is a lot to unpack here, but stick with me. I'll explain by the end. First off, the description says its 4, 6 and 8 foot radius. Understand that this is the horn to lead line measurement. The actual diameter is understood to be twice that but it never is because the net has a "basket" built in. my 6 foot net is spreading out to 8 feet and has a generous basket. I thought this was small but both of my 4ft nets are measuring 6ft when spread out. So this is more normal than I thought. My 8 foot net measures 12 feet when spread out. So that just net 101 and how the nets actually measure out. Secondly, the "Zinc" weights are attracting a magnet, its zinc coated steel. They are small and well spread out, but its steel under there and t is bare metal. Not a big deal on the beach but be carful if you are on a boat. Speaking of weight, this is a light weight net. About 4.5 pounds, average 6ft net is going to be about 6 pounds. Heavier is good for deeper water, light is good for shallow water. This has a neoprene wrist strap on a long line that actually fits and feels well, but I am not sure I will stick with it. I am used to the slip knot. So, I just crapped all over this net, so why did I give it 5 stars? Cause its a $29 6ft net that you can get same day or next day on Amazon. If you need a high quality net, you can get one and your local bait shop for about $120. This is cheap and works well. The wrist line is super long, so you can really whip it out there to those far off baits. The cheap zinc weights are very narrow and sinks pretty quick for how lite weight it is. Being lite weight, you can carry it more easily and its better for newbies. I was a little harsh but I wanted to be fair. I am not going to say its a $100 custom net for $29, its not. But most of us are not commercial fisherman and this net will serve most anglers for a very long time. Especially if we are honest with ourselves. Further more at this price you can afford 2. Get the 4 ft net, that size is great for sniping bait that is staying away and being skittish. Every fisherman should have a 4 ft net. Then get the 6ft or 8ft depending on your skill for when bait is thick. You will still be half of what a quality bait shop net goes for. Get the net, get the bait, catch the fish. It's that simple.

I order a new cast net at the beginning of spring every year. I always keep it in my kayak and catch most of my own bait for fishing. Xplorz cast net has a well designed monofilament net with small mesh. I got the small because I am often casting from the kayak and it is easier to control. The weights around the net look chrome which is different, hopefully it will hold up to saltwater. It also comes with a carrying case. The loop that goes around your wrist is neoprene that is sowed to the rope. It is a good idea in theory but it is not well attached . It would not be long before i am going in the water to retrieve the net.

My last cast net had seen its better days so time to get a replacement. Taking it out in the back yard to give it a test run it preformed well (4' net). The cord the net comes with is ample for throwing from shore and I do like the idea of staying away from lead the. These steel weights are sized and spaced just fine. The wrist strap is comfortable but snug enough that I will not worry about loosing the rope. My previous net I would carry in a 5 gallon ice cream pail and hang it on a hook when I got home to let it dry. The vented carrying/storage bag is nice and decent quality so I expect to last. All and all I am happy with the net and the price is very fair. I really cant justify paying twice the price for what I consider a basic item With the cost of gas and bait, casting nets are a smart move as well as fun. XPLORZ offers a good value and quality product 👍

I ordered the medium 6' XPLORZ Cast Fishing Net. I have a 4' casting net but wanted something a little bigger and there's a lot to like about this rig. The 3/8' mesh is well made and I couldn't find any flaws in even after looking at it very closely. It comes with plenty of rope for casting, and I like the neoprene wrist band that easily fits over my wrist and doesn't come off when I throw the net. The weights are very heavy which makes it a little hard to throw but I'm getting used to it and like that the weights sink fast and hold the net to the sand preventing the fish from escaping. The metal cinch at the top of the where the net hooks to the leader helps keep the nylon strings from tangling. I also really like the storage bag it came with; its fairly thick with nice nylon carry straps and open weave at the bottom for ventilation and so excess water can drain out if I put the net in while its still wet. Overall a really nice net for the money.

This is made from good quality material and is comfortably functional. The workmanship and material seem of high quality and the storage bag is a nice tough. I have the small 4' one but would get a larger one form these guys based on my experience here. I recommend.
