No need to tip toe through the stream or jump rock to rock, your feet will stay dry walking right across it. Shoe is somewhat stiff due to waterproof material, but overall a comfortable hiker. I wore around the house for three days before venturing outside and they were pretty comfortable right out of the box. I’m normally a 9.5 and that’s what I ordered. As many reviewers have commented, I felt I could use a teensy bit more room, especially in the right shoe, so went back on to order a size 10 to compare. To my surprise, the price had more than doubled for the same color, exact same shoe since a week before when I ordered the 9.5. ($75 up to $157?!?!!) I LOVED the look of this hiking shoe/boot however had to return it. The right one was way tighter than the left one. While from the outside the shoe appears to have a wide toe box, the inside was a lot more narrow than all the other keens I’ve tried on. Such a bummer because this is the best looking one yet. I wanted it to work so bad, bought two. A size 9 and a size 10. Same issue for both. Left one fit fine on both shoes. I even had my 13 year old daughter with very narrow feet try them on and she could notice/feel the difference between left and right not fitting the same. So sad. I got these for a up coming camping trip snd then a European adventure in September. I have a few pairs of water shoes, oxfords so got my usually 9.5. Left shoe was fine, my big toe was jammed in on the right. Disappointed to say the least. Order up at least a half size, if you used cushion socks maybe a full size. ... show more

I love these boots, comfortable sole and a little wider foot bed (without being a wide shoe) and good toe room. Also, like the ankle support. I wear these as a package handler in a warehouse and on my feet. Will buy again.

I swear by reading reviews . I needed a good , supportive ,light water proof hiking boot for my exploring adventures. I am typical not a trail hiker, I’m all over through the woods. So after lots of research decided to give these a try. I finally put these really to the test(on accident). I must say they exceed my expectations. They are super light and comfortable. Great ankle support and absolutely waterproof, I sunk in mud then put my whole foot in the brook to rinse and my feet were completely dry! My only complaint is I wish the arch was a bit higher . I was pretty skeptical because of some of the reviews but decided to give them a try. They were comfortable right out of the box. Didn’t have time to break them in aside from walking around the house in them for a few days. Ended up taking them to Hawaii to hike some of the Napali Coast. Hiked with them through mud and water for hours with a 30 pound toddler on my back and my feet did not hurt at all. Waterproof and cleaned off pretty well after the hike. Definitely happy with my investment. Ordered a half size up and they fit great! ... show more

    • Great for multi-terrain southwest hikes.

NM has so many types of terrain. From crunchy to roots and snow. They have great grip for the slippery gravel on the down hills. They do rub around the top of boot to calve areas. High socks a must. The addition of the heal lock pad is noticeable, it’s really fantastic to have that stability. The front toe box sturdy when hitting rocks or kicking things. My sister was wearing a pair of Soloman’s. She said they were hurting her and would not stay tightly fit after a double wrap at top of ankle. She said her heal would not stay down so, after her hike she went and got a pair of these in loves them. I recommend if you’re going to be hiking in multi terrain or if you’re just walking around the city they’re great but wear high socks. ... show more
