13 month review. They lasted until they didn’t. No real break in period, they fit right out the gate. They were waterproof until the soles split. I wore them 10-13 hours a day 5-6 days a week. I would buy again. I replaced them with the keen Skokie hiker mid for something a little lighter weight than these. ... show more

I've heard so many people say how comfortable Keen boots are so I couldn't wait for them to arrive. I've owned most of the big name boots from redwing to Georgia and diehard to Timberlands and even cheap Walmart $25 dollar boots, these boots were so uncomfortable I had to send them back because I couldn't wear them. The sole is about average for comfort but the tongue is stitched to the inner boot on the ankle. The extra material( so it has give to put on) is folded over like a dart or curtain pleat. This rubbed my ankle raw after just a hour or 2 of walking around my house. I laced them tight and tried loose either way every step was painful. It only did it on one foot so I'm assuming it was probably a defect in the shoe. They are pretty light and they look great and are a quality looking boot but I could not wear them without every step being painful. I had to return them. ... show more

I have worn Keen for the last 11 years. It’s the BEST work boot I’ve ever put on my feet! I’m a diesel mechanic so I’m on my feet 10-14 hours a day, all day! I wear the composite toe and it’s absolutely the best! You only get one pair of feet, might as well be comfortable while you work!

I do commercial HVAC service so I am constantly on my feet and lots of movement in all different terrains, steel run ladders, concrete, rough roofs you name it. I got a good solid 16 months out of these without complaint. After that, both started taking on water in the outer rear corners from where I wore through the soles. My favorite feature, is the bellows. I do a lot of stooping and climbing and maneuvering so it was beneficial. I really like these, they were a replacement for my Keen Portland boots which lasted me about 26 months. The failure point on those was the bellows both cracked in the middle but that could be expected after a long use. For years I stuck to the more traditional work boot. I have a pair of Keen hiking boots. When I saw they had an American made work boot, designed similar to the hiking boots, I was sold. I’d say they were broken in by day 3. I do commercial refrigeration and HVAC service. So I spend a lot of time walking and kneeling. These boots flexibility makes kneeling way more comfortable than the average work boot. Ive only had them a few weeks, so durability is yet to be tested.
