They are as comfortable and light as running shoes, yet they are extremely robust. Keen did not sacrifice on anything. No break in required, no mole skin required. Excellent work boot! The toe box has plenty of room. The composite toe and EH rating are a bonus. Very light and comfortable from day one. A little narrow around the ball of my foot but they stretched out just enough after the first day. I am on my feet 12-14 hours a day and these boots are up for the task. Will definitely purchase again (as long as I get them on sale) ... show more

I love Keen boots. This is my 6th different pair. I expected to be able to wear them all day while working around the property but after a couple hours my feet were killing me. I have narrow feet and these are a bit too narrow for me. Hopefully they break in over time as they are a little stiff.

I have owned Keens for about a decade now . Detroit was my first model and they lasted about a year but were so comfortable I bought a second pair . I wanted something a little lighter in weight and the Vista athletic shoe /boot was available on Amazon so I tried them . That was 2023 and in the photo you'll see they are still holding up . Partly because I have 2 pairs of the Vista high top and a pair in a low height that I alternate wearing at work . For rainy days I bought a pair of Independence early last year and this past winter they more than paid for themselves in all the snow and ice Central Virginia received . I still wear them on rainy days and keep them in my car in case of unexpected downpour at work . This has led me to try something that's a bit of both models . Almost as light as the Vista athletic and the same height but with the waterproof and squared mid sole of the Independence . I don't do a lot of standing at work anymore but I do a LOT of walking , climbing , stooping , and some forklift driving . I'm 5'10" and 250# so my girth alone puts a lot of stress on the mid sole and insoles and the Keen Regen on all the ones I've purchased since the Detroit (they didn't have it ) makes my 10+ hour work day feel much less lengthy to my feet, knees , and back . I'll probably upgrade the insoles with the next step up in Keen insoles so they last longer while offering a slightly more snug fit in the heel, making my shoes feel even more comfortable . The Independence full leather took a few days to break in fully but these Skokies feel broken in from the box . Time will tell how well they hold up but my first Keens were a combo of leather and mesh , like these , and they held up terrifically to the abuses of a lumber yard . The carbon toe (vs steel) just adds another reason to go this way instead of back to Detroits . 15k steps per workday later and my feet, knees , and back feel fine. Amazon was running a Prime special on these and I couldn't pass up the deal . Before Keens my work shoes would last maybe 6 to 8 months before becoming grass cutting shoes , no matter the price I paid but Keens really hold up more than decently while keeping their comfort throughout their lifespan . The only way I'd like these more would be if they were USA made like the Independence and the 1st pair of Detroits . Edit . The heat this week was upper 90s to low 100s with high humidity and at the end of the work day my shoes (these work shoes ) had worked at keeping my feet comfortable even better than my arm sleeves , and quick dry everything else from socks to underwear to shorts to shirt and a big brim ventilated hat . A combo of Xtemp socks and these work boots is a combo that works great for me while working in the sun for 10 hours a day . This is another example of Keen shoes going above and beyond their advertised features . ... show more

Very disappointed with the quality of this work boot. These were worn on weekends for the past season and the sole fell apart. Probably only 40 days total in these boots.

Well after 3 months of used the sole from the back heel came loose, I try putting gorilla glue but it came off again, the boots are still good if it wasn't for the sole they can still go for another 6 months
