This is about the very best lock I think I have run across. The lock is extremely heavy and made very strong - of course, this is the most important aspect of a lock. However, this lock packs more features. There is a button on the front of the lock that will release it when the proper code is entered. The release is spring-loaded, and works every time. Also, when you want to change the lock code, you have to open it with the proper code and unscrew a screw to access the switch to make the change. Its all very tidy and nice for a lock. These locks are attractive and have held up fine for two months outside on a fence. The hasp is long, so they are good for securing two-piece gates. The combination is easily read and has deep markings that Inthink will last. The one thing I don’t like is that to close the lock, the correct combination must be set. So leaving the gate open means either locking it closed and having to renter the combination prior to Re-locking, or leaving the combination exposed where other people might see the combination. This was exactly what I needed for my locker at work. After leaving the keys for my lock in my back pack and accidentally locking it in my locker, I had to have my lock on my locker cut. For less then $10 this was exactly what I needed! Received it the next day and I am thoroughly impressed! It's a quality combo lock with a long shackle. When I was looking for a replacement lock for work, I was looking for 1) Combo lock 2) Long shackle 3) low price 4) fast shipping This product checked all those boxes!     • Sturdy and affordable!
This is a great little lock. I had no problem changing the combination and its seems pretty sturdy. You definitely can't just tug really hard and pull it open, you would probably need bolt cutters or a way to smash the plastic. I absolutely wouldn't trust it for a shed with thousands of dollars worth of tools (don't ever go cheap when protecting stuff like that) but if you're looking for a lock for something like a gym locker or to keep kids or nosey guests out of something in your home, this is excellent and affordable for that. Make sure you're very careful about measuring, I ended up not being able to use it for what I originally intended but that was my fault and I'm still keeping it because I'm sure I'll come across another need for a padlock or can give it to someone. ... show more

Combination comes preset at 0 0 0 0 and is easily changed - the how to, is also printed on the back of the package (see photo). The lock seems to work perfectly & is advertised as outdoor waterproof. I actually received this by accident (my best friend used my account & bought it with my card and had it shipped to me) and I was going to return it.
