I've owned several pairs of KEEN boots, but these are by far my favorite. They're a little stiff out-of the box, but break in nicely before long. They're plenty rugged without being hard on your feet. These were my first pair with the Energy soles and I have to say I'm a fan. Great boots. Very comfortable.

I was a little apprehensive when I first got these because out of the box they felt very stiff and heavy. I put them on and wore them to work the first time and WOW. They are extremely comfortable and super supportive. Love the wide toe box. I can actually wiggle my toes around in there comfortable and they don't feel restricted or bunched up as in most shoes/boots. I bought these to replace a pair of 6 year old Timberland boots. The Timberland were still very comfortable, even after 6 years but were not the prettiest thing to look at. I don't know how well these KEEN boots will hold up after 6 years but if they hold up like the Timberland did, then I'm a KEEN customer for life. I absolutely live these boots. I did order a size larger than I normally wear and I'm glad I did. I don't think I would have liked them being any tighter than they are. Even at a size larger, my feet don't move around inside the boots. ... show more

Poor Quality

Sole separation and heel failure within months!!! I really wanted to like these boots. Out of the box, the KEEN Pittsburgh Energy felt comfortable and provided decent support for long days on my feet. However, the build quality is a massive disappointment for a boot at this price point. The primary issue—and it’s a dealbreaker—is the heel construction. As you can see in the photos, the outsole is literally peeling away from the heel and the midsole. I haven't even had these for a full season, and they are already structurally failing.The rubber at the heel is delaminating from the boot. This isn't just a cosmetic scuff; the entire rear section of the sole is flapping off, which is a major tripping hazard and completely ruins the "waterproof" claim. For an "Industrial Work Boot," the glue or bonding process used here is clearly not up to the task of daily wear. While the leather upper holds up okay, a work boot is only as good as its foundation. Once the heel goes, the boot is useless. If you need a reliable boot for actual work, look elsewhere. I expected a lot more durability from KEEN Utility. Having the heel fall apart this quickly is unacceptable for a professional-grade product. Avoid these if you value your money and your safety. ... show more

Amazing boot and price

My husband is on his feet 9 plus hours and say these are the most comfortable boots he’s owned. They are cheaper than his Red Wings boots and much better all around.

OK, I am picky so, let me start by saying. AWESOME BOOTS! I ordered these not knowing a thing about them. I took them out of the box and immediately I could see what I perceive to be well made boots. The side has HEEL LOCK embossed. That interested me being as on RED WINGS and any other boots you have to tie a simple knot to hell lock. PITA. These automatically lock your heel in when you get to that grommet set. As I put my feet in, they fit like a shoe or boot should. I have walked over 6 miles a day in them and absolutely NO foot fatigue. Thank you KEEN for making shoes and boot that make a huge impact. For me anyways. See how long these last, but after a few weeks, I see no reason to suspect any problems. JMO, if you know your foot size and order properly, you will love these too. I promise. ... show more

Not happy with quality.

I am having separation on the mid sole to the upper leather on these shoes. I received them a few weeks ago and have only worn for a short while. Never seen this in a Keen work boot.
