  • Foot-saver
Size: 13 Color: Mulch/Shitake
I'm a city route truck driver, steel toes are often required in warehouses I deliver to. After a disastrous experience with a pair of Rocky work boots (I wore them exactly one day and it has now taken my right foot/ankle 3 weeks to recover), I decided to give Keens work boots a try, since I had a good experience with their trail walking shoes. These are quickly becoming my favorite pair of boots i've ever worn to work. Unbelievably comfortable, no break-in period, light weight and very well-balanced for steel toes, no "boot drag" that makes you feel like you're wearing Gene Simmons' KISS platform boots. The ankle support is superb without choking off the blood flow to your feet. Plenty of toe space in my size. Time will tell how well they hold up, but my other Keens have lasted nearly 3 years, so hopefully with good care, these can come close to that. ... show more

  • I love these boots!
Size: 11 Wide Color: Raven/Tawny Olive
They could pass for normal hiking shoes, but they hide a steel toe. They're very solid, while being flexible and not as heavy as my other boots. Recently wore them on a 2-mile hike, and they were very comfortable. Would buy again.

  • Very comfortable and flexible
Size: 11 Color: Raven/Tawny Olive
I was looking for a mid-length boot that would stand up to hard pavement, a lot of walking, would feel close to sneakers and not be as restricted as my SWAT combat boots (which are also great) Obviously they have better ankle support and stability compared to sneakers but feel only a bit heavier. I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot and post op complications so I need to wear custom orthotics which make them even better. If you don't have foot problems, you'd do okay with the provided insoles. As expected, these provide a lot more flexibility in the crouching position compared to my 11 hole combat boots and are a bit more breathable. I do prefer to wear my combat boots in the winter and whenever I need to pass thru tall grass or get sidetracked on the woods. The keens are perfect and beat my boots or sneakers for all other circumstances -mowing the lawn, tinkering in garage, shed or basement, crawling around in attic, and working on ladders or a roof. I also like the non slip and electrical insulation soles they provide. I actually got two pairs of keens, one waterproof and one non-waterproof. I was planning to return one but decided to keep them both. I favor the non-waterproof ones a bit more just because they feel a tad bit lighter and more flexible, but maybe that's just me. You can't go wrong with either. I'll be looking to buy another pair in the future when the time comes. ... show more

  • Good work boots but has some cons
Size: 10 Wide Color: Raven/Tawny Olive
I recently purchased these work boots and after breaking them in, I have mixed feelings about them. While the boots do have some pretty good features, it also has a few drawbacks. One of the key features of these work boots is the waterproof leather material. I found this to be quite effective in keeping my feet dry, even when working in wet conditions. The moisture-wicking lining also did a decent job of keeping my feet comfortable and preventing excessive sweating. However, I did notice that the boots took a while to dry out after being exposed to water, which was a bit inconvenient. Another safety feature of these boots is the slip and oil-resistant sole. I appreciated the added traction and stability this provided, especially when working on slippery surfaces. It definitely enhanced my confidence in terms of avoiding accidents and maintaining my balance. I must admit, though, I noticed some signs of wear and tear, particularly in areas that were exposed to oil and grease, so long-term durability could be an issue if working under these conditions regularly. Comfort-wise, these boots are somewhat average. The fit was true to size, and the padding provided a decent level of support. The boots were a bit on the heavy side, which caused some fatigue during long workdays, but I've grown accustomed to this over time. ... show more

  • Quite comfortable to use for medium type duties.
Size: 7.5 Color: Cascade Brown/Brindle
I bought these boots to replace my KEEN Flint Mid ST boots that I have been using since August 2019. So far, the condition of KEEN Flint Mid ST is still quite good, it's just that if the weather is cold, the feeling of dampness can be felt penetrating into the boots so sometimes it makes me uncomfortable. And as an LV electrician, I chose KEEN Lansing Mid Waterproof ST as a replacement, and I think this model will be better because it is waterproof. And I hope that in the future this model can provide toe protectors made from composite/carbon fiber material so that the weight can be lighter. ... show more

  • Use to be my go to boot
Size: 11 Color: Raven/Tawny Olive
I really like the way these boots fit and all the features. I have purchased this style multiple times, however, the pair I purchased in 2022 did not last. In less than 2 months the sole started coming apart. Decided to try some new Keen utility boots next and have the same issue. Not sure what happened to Keen quality but I hate it because they make boots i want to buy. I am using the boots for light industrial work, nothing crazy, and nothing Keen boots couldn’t handle in the past. Hopefully someone at Keen will investigate this and right the ship. ... show more
