Reflective safety features run the entire length of the shoe for added visibility. Asymmetrical steel toes improve the fit, and a TPU stability shank adds support. A slip- and oil-resistant sole amp up the safety factor. Weighing 23.15 oz / 656 g (per shoe), made with durable, waterproof leather and featuring a moisture-wicking lining. This boot is built off KEEN's traditional wider footwear form. Need to change out your insoles for orthotic or comfort reasons? No problem – KEEN Utility products offer removable insoles. This dependable work boot is great for medium-duty work in construction, landscaping, warehouse distribution and transportation work. All KEEN Utility products use leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG). KEEN Utility believes in creating work boots that make work and life better. VERY sturdy, very well made, comfortable but HEAVY. I mean it's a steel-toe boot so expect that but these seem really heavy. Not worried at all about anything crushing my toes and that's why you buy these, yeah?

    • Good work boots but has some cons

I recently purchased these work boots and after breaking them in, I have mixed feelings about them. While the boots do have some pretty good features, it also has a few drawbacks. One of the key features of these work boots is the waterproof leather material. I found this to be quite effective in keeping my feet dry, even when working in wet conditions. The moisture-wicking lining also did a decent job of keeping my feet comfortable and preventing excessive sweating. However, I did notice that the boots took a while to dry out after being exposed to water, which was a bit inconvenient. Another safety feature of these boots is the slip and oil-resistant sole. I appreciated the added traction and stability this provided, especially when working on slippery surfaces. It definitely enhanced my confidence in terms of avoiding accidents and maintaining my balance. I must admit, though, I noticed some signs of wear and tear, particularly in areas that were exposed to oil and grease, so long-term durability could be an issue if working under these conditions regularly. Comfort-wise, these boots are somewhat average. The fit was true to size, and the padding provided a decent level of support. The boots were a bit on the heavy side, which caused some fatigue during long workdays, but I've grown accustomed to this over time. ... show more

    • Very comfortable and flexible

I was looking for a mid-length boot that would stand up to hard pavement, a lot of walking, would feel close to sneakers and not be as restricted as my SWAT combat boots (which are also great) Obviously they have better ankle support and stability compared to sneakers but feel only a bit heavier. I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot and post op complications so I need to wear custom orthotics which make them even better. If you don't have foot problems, you'd do okay with the provided insoles. As expected, these provide a lot more flexibility in the crouching position compared to my 11 hole combat boots and are a bit more breathable. I do prefer to wear my combat boots in the winter and whenever I need to pass thru tall grass or get sidetracked on the woods. The keens are perfect and beat my boots or sneakers for all other circumstances -mowing the lawn, tinkering in garage, shed or basement, crawling around in attic, and working on ladders or a roof. I also like the non slip and electrical insulation soles they provide. I actually got two pairs of keens, one waterproof and one non-waterproof. I was planning to return one but decided to keep them both. I favor the non-waterproof ones a bit more just because they feel a tad bit lighter and more flexible, but maybe that's just me.     • Best work boot I've come across for my wide feet

After wearing this boot pretty regularly for about 2 weeks now I can say it's definitely a lot more comfortable than most work boots I can find. Usually I have a hard time finding my size (10 1/2 wide) and most work boots squish my toes. I have a hard time keeping my feet still during the day and I have a neurologic condition which makes my toes become fatigued and I want to bend them. In these boots I'm able to bend my toes regularly as if I were wearing a pair of shoes. I find that the steel toes are very strong, and the bottom plates keep me very well supported. I find ease and climbing ladders, standing on my toes, or simply walking. I do believe that they are decently waterproof, as I have yet to experience any kind of water leaks when standing in snow or wet material up to my ankle. I also have an issue with my feet stinking, and I have not noticed that yet with these boots. All in all I would say these are my favorite pair of boots I've purchased. The one and only thing that could make them any better, is if they came in multiple colors. I could only find two available on Amazon. And while I really do like the way they look, I would prefer them a little better if they were in a dark brown or dark gray. ... show more

I bought the Keen Utility work boots five months ago, and have been wearing them 5-6 days a week at a construction site. They have kept my feet dry and warm throughout the winter (granted I’m in NorCal - so I’m only dealing with rain and morning temps in the 40s). Best of all, my feet are well supported and not tired and achy after wearing them all day. My feet are slightly on the wider side, and the 10D fit perfectly. The shoes feel sturdy and solid, yet are still fairly light. I’m considering buying another pair to ensure I have them when these finally fail… but at this point, I think those will sit in my closet for a long time. ... show more

The inside lace hooks got caught on each other and broke off two days after I bought them. It’s been a month now and the rubber on the front is separating from the boots already and the laces are falling apart. I repurchased these boots because my first pair lasted almost two years. Will not be buying boots from keen ever again, quality has dropped drastically. ... show more
