The media could not be loaded. I have an 8 inch Damascus chef knife already but I wanted a smaller knife just for the daily task as I felt like my 8 inch blade was too long for my liking. I really like the grip of this knife as it is very comfortable. The steel used it top of the line Damascus which I very much appreciate, the blade itself is extremely sharp and cuts through anything without struggle. I made some Tuna sashimi with this knife and it cut the Tuna with ease, also the the knife passed the infamous paper cut test with flying colors. The overall knife is isn't light or heavy which is great for me as it is very balance especially right on the bolster.

This is the knife you've dreamed of, it does not cost $350 and you'll be happy you bought it! It's more gorgeous in person, the damascus steel is really dramatic against the mirror finish. Out of the box, it was sharp as a razor! The hammered divets release the food like nothing else. The knife balances just behind the bolster, the blade heft feels nice in the palm. Why are you still reading this? Buy this knife!

Decent knife, a bit too heavy. Good craftsmanship. Sharp out of the box. Could be better balanced as the center of gravity is located in the handle. Because of it and the uneven blade surface, it would not stay put on a magnetic strip. Otherwise, it works as expected.
