  • Must get hammer and power drill
Size: Full
Two tools you definitely need to buy beforehand to assemble this: 1. Hammer or rubber mallet 2. Power drill I'm guessing the demo had all holes pre-drilled perfectly or the demo guy had super strength, but we don't have that luxury. So, you'll really need those two tools above to assemble everything tightly. Other than that, the assembly went smoothly. All the holes aligned, and the steps were clear. The demo video was way more helpful than the manual, so give it a watch. If the holes don't quite line up or panels won't push in, go back to the previous step and ensure everything's hammered in tightly. That usually fixes the issue. I'm a 5’3 girl, around 100lbs, and I managed to assemble it by myself in about 2 hours, using a power drill and a hammer (no help from my BF, ugh). The tricky parts were lifting the panels to get everything nailed down and getting all the holes to line up. It felt like a game of whack-a-mole: as soon as I lined up one side, the other side popped out. Having a second person would've made it so much quicker, probably cutting the time down to 1/3. All in all, I did it, although a little out of breath by the end. The bed frame is very sturdy, and it folds up nicely for easy storage or moving which I love! Once you finish the assembly, it functions as effortlessly as those foldable metal frames but looks 100x cuter. The low platform gives it a Japanese tatami vibe, adding a cozy touch to my bedroom. Just a tip: Lay down a big plastic cover on the floor before you start. There'll be a good amount of wood dust as you hammer and drill. I used one from a new mattress, and it saved me a cleanup. ... show more

  • Solid, quiet, attractive
Size: Queen
Love it. I put it together on my own and though was challenging a couple times just bc requires strength to force some parts together, it was nowhere near Ikea-level assembly horror and not complicated. Just took some time. 2-3 hours for me, I made a couple mistakes that cost me time but they were my own fault of not reading carefully. Anyways, the wood is beautiful, the construction is so solid, there's not movement of parts or noises when I hop into bed and toss n turn etc. The folding mechanism is pretty cool. I got this mainly bc I want something easy to move on my own. It will definitely be that. Also it's the perfect height off the ground imo. Room underneath for stuff if needed but not so high that my feet dangle when I sit on the edge. ... show more

  • Excellent product with reasonable assembly
Size: Queen
I wanted a nice looking (not ugly metal) folding queen frame for our guest room, since it’ll be sitting up against the wall with a stacked split queen mattress with my massage mat on it when we don’t have guests (that room is normally our office/gym). This frame I looks great, the directions were very good, and it was easy to assemble and fold in half. I’m a 5’2 female, and managed it solo in a skirt while I was killing time before my date. I’ve done the “some assembly required” dance plenty of times throughout my life, and can objectively say that this company did a great job, heck I didn’t even swear once! The wood is still a little greenish because it’s new wood, but the info packet that came with the frame did a good job of explaining that so it’s ok. I’m going to give it a few weeks to see how the color turns out and might stain it a golden brown if needed. I would’ve gladly paid an extra $100 or so though if there was an option to purchase it pre-finished, just because I’m pretty busy and don’t really want to hassle with it myself. ... show more

  • Made in America!!!!!

I love this bed for my guest room. Very detailed directions. I put it together myself and was super proud because it came in separate pieces. Very sturdy & nice looking. They give directions for staining or painting but it’s not necessary. I can’t say how happy it makes me to purchase something of quality and good value made in America!!! ... show more

  • built it myself!!
Size: Full
I built it myself, and I am not good at stuff like that. It took me 2 1/2 hours and all I needed was a mallet and a star screwdriver. Read through instructions slowly.

Size: Twin
The Good- Relatively Easy to put together (Intermediate level, if you know how to follow instructions) You will need a Phillips screwdriver (preferably electric) and a small rubber hammer (not included) Looks nice, just as advertised. Low profile. Easy access for kids and old folks. Folds away nicely as advertised, small foot print. Perfect for guests. Sturdy. I bought the Twin size and it holds up fine to my 200lbs. The Bad- May not neccesarily be bad but it's about 4" narrower than the mattress I bought. The mattress is a Molblly so it might be the mattress that's oversized. There is some overhang on the sides. Again not neccesarily a negative, but I would not recommend a Futon mattress unless you put a Bunkie board underneath it. I would not recommend a mattress thinner than 8". The End ... show more
