Love it! Sleek minimalist design. This took me quite a while to put together on my own. Then I got my man to help align the slat portions on the base at the end. This is very well made, sturdy, and the instructions are clear. Leaving it unfinished for now as the bare wood is beautiful as is. There is less space under for storage than the Nomad, but still some. Glad I went with the 10 inch high, rather than 16. The drawers for under the taller frames look great. Wish a lower profile set was offered also. A rubber mallet came in handy for assembly, along with a cordless drill/driver. I bought 2 of these to put side by side for a king latex mattress that was extremely heavy and it worked so much better than any other bed I’d purchased before. It was easy to put together the wood is high quality. The only reason I gave it 4 out 5 stars is one of the because of one piece of wood was cracked so I had to use wood glue on it.

I've been looking everywhere for a natural wood, low bed frame that is simple, sturdy, affordable and most importantly made in US. Finally I found this!! The frame is light, design is so smart and the wood finish is smooth and the wood itself came from Appalachian mountains! How special is that!! I did not put in the last 4 screws to tighten the top panels onto the frame because the dowels and all the fittings are secure enough. I put a tatami mat on the frame. The tatami mat is heavy so gravity would just hold everything in place. I love my new bed! Thank you so much for making it and having it available on Amazon! This frame is really well-designed and can be assembled by one person in about an hour. Instructions are easy to follow. I ended up needing just a hammer and screwdriver, though a power drill would have been easier. The wood is a pale, almost grayish color that’s quite neutral. I did not stain it but it would be easy to do prior to assembly. I am currently using this as a frame for a tatami mat and Japanese futon. So far it works great and the slats are sufficiently close together to support this kind of setup. Note that it is very low to the ground, so your bedding may touch the floor if you are using something thinner than a conventional mattress. I love how it looks, and I love that it’s made in America from sustainable materials. Excellent value. ... show more

Quality of wood and workmanship has gone down. I've used them since over 10 years, before they sold on Amazon. In this order there were many pieces where the wood edges are chipped or fraying badly. In the last step of assembly, the pre-drilled holes never aligned and we ended up cracking the wood. Tip to other buyers, for the last step don't use the pre-drilled holes as a guide, use your visual reference to avoid cracking the wood. Blind trust cost us here. Also, there is no way these screws are self tapping, make sure you have an electric screwdriver on hand. ... show more

This is such a great bed frame - much better than you might expect given the price! It was mostly easy to assemble (it definitely helped to have two people) and it's really well made. Some of the edges of the wood are a little rough and I wish we'd have though to sand them just a bit before assembling it. I like that the feet are inset a bit, so you don't stub your toes while walking around the bed. It also looks really nice. Best of all - we haven't had any squeaking! ... show more
