I do not write many reviews, but this case deserves a round of applause and a victory lap. I am an avid reader, and my vessel of choice is my Kindle. It goes with me wherever I go, in a pocket, in a bag, or in hand. I read on it over my morning coffee, take it with me on my lunch breaks, and get hit in the face with it every night as I inevitably fall asleep with it. I average around 3-5 books/month. Since I have this thing with me all the time, I am extremely picky about my cases. I've had many over the years, most recently a beautifully slim faux leather number with a spine of suede that feels like luxury itself, but only set me back about 10 USD. The edges were plastic - the only design flaw. After using it for the past 3+ years, those edges have started cracking and falling apart. When I managed to cut myself on one of the sharp edges, I knew it was time to find a replacement. I was fully prepared to buy the same case again, so enamored was I, but that particular case doesn’t seem to be available anymore. So, I did my research. I scoured reading blogs. I watched YouTube reviews. I added tens of potential cases to my Amazon cart. I need it to be thin, I need it to be a joy to handle, and I need it to protect my device from all the inevitable falls that result from carrying this thing around like a security blanket. In the end, I stumbled upon this thanks to the Amazon algorithm, and I am absolutely chuffed. This case is so much better than I expected. First, the feel of it is difficult to describe. It feels like a cross between rubber and leather, in a really satisfying way. I keep finding myself touching it sometimes just for the joy of it. Since I’ve had it, it hasn’t collected a single speck of fluff, and it never catches on pocket linings or the inside of my bag. If you somehow manage to get it dirty, a simple wipe is enough to get it clean again. The edges are feel like the same kind of material, but slightly harder than the rest of the case; solidly protective, but still pleasantly tactile. There are cutouts for the ports and the power button, but there’s no large gap on the bottom edge like so many other cases have, so it’s difficult to accidentally press the power button as you’re holding the device. It wakes the device up when you open it, but there’s no struggle involved in pulling the magnets apart. It’s slightly thicker than the device itself, as you would expect, but there’s no unnecessary bulk to it. It’s the best case I’ve ever had for my Kindle, and I cannot recommend it enough. Run, don’t walk. You won’t be disappointed.

This is an excellent Kindle case. It fits my Paperwhite perfectly. The only negative is that some of the plastic edges are too angular and feel uncomfortably sharp when in use. Rounding those sharp edges would earn this product five stars.

Durable, sleek, slim and affordable. The quality of the case is definitely great and could easily pass for something you spent some money on. The only discrepancy is that the magnetic holding that keeps the case closed when not in use could have been great if it also worked when it was flipped open in use. Other than that I think it does its job well and also the bumpers the edge of each side of the kindle acts as a great shock absorber if you are prone to dropping the device.

I am amazed by the value of this cover. I honestly didn't expect much, but you'd pay a whole lot more to even come close to the quality. It's ergonomically designed, has a nice feel (that can be a problem), light weight, perfectly fits the kindle (I was surprised!), and seems pretty slip resistant, which is important for someone who drops their kindle way too much. I wasn't too worried about the appearance. That's just not something that concerns me, but for those you are, this has a nice woven look, reminiscent of an old book cover. Perfect for a book lover. Well see how it takes wears and tear, but build seems sturdy enough that I'm confident my device is protected well.
