Amazon delivered the Kawati LED desk lamp in a small box and I thought to myself: what is this? Turns out, it is a superb light. Small, black, with a flexible neck and a bracket to hold your cell phone . Plus, it has a permanent LED circular light bulb. 2 big warnings: this light runs off of your laptop and you need an adapter (DC 5v). The LED light gets hot very quickly. This desk lamp impressed me. I had very low expectations for this considering how cheap it is, but it actually performs well as a lamp. I've been searching for a small lamp like this for a while without spending too much. I have a small room and I hate my ceiling light. This lamp is perfect for my setting. The little remote offers 2 brightness adjusting buttons and a hue button. There are 2 "cool" type light settings and 1 "warm" setting. I've used all 3 and they all illuminate my room adequately as I prefer low light settings. Build Quality: Surprisingly good for the low price. The base feels like a sturdy plastic with a foam bottom. The arm attached to the light is very thick, bendable metal encased in some sort of matte/rubbery material. It's thick and moves and stays in any direction you set it to. The wire is a bit cheap and thin, but that is to be expected at this price point. Considering how well the lamp works and the quality of the other parts, this is not a big deal to me. Just be careful about yanking the cord/tripping over it. Phone Holder: This didn't hold my phone very well (Motorola one 5G ace), but i have another phone holder, so i dont care about this function at all. It was hard to actually set the phone in there and then the ball joint kept swiveling, even after tightening the end. If you're looking at this for the phone holder, don't bother. My biggest complaint is that it does not come with a brick to plug into a wall, so you will have to buy/use your own USB brick if you won't be plugging this into a computer. This is such a minor inconvenience and I have spare bricks anyway, but it would have been nice for them to include at least a cheap brick. Be careful which bricks you use though: I first used an Apple brick from an old iPod and it actually overheated and turned itself off. I then switched to a Samsung brick and haven't had any issues ever since. Overall: a great lamp for this price as long as you don't care about the poor phone holder and know where/how you want to plug this in to work (PC or separate brick).

We have a computer in one of the rooms in our home. Around the computer, it can be pretty dark since the main light fixture in the room can only do so much. I got this lamp so that I could try to brighten up the area around the computer. I'm fairly certain I have figured out all of the ways you can use it. You can adjust the brightness and make the light 3 different color temperatures. It comes with a cord that's long enough for it to work going from the back of my computer to the lamp itself. It connects to a regular USB slot on the back of my computer and it was really easy to get it to turn on the first time. You don't really need instructions, you just connect it and then it is easy to get it figured out from there. It is easy to adjust, too, and has this neck on it that you can twist in many different ways so you can even point the light up at the ceiling if you wanted to. The light is in a ring shape, which I think helps it to light up the area better. The final thing I noticed was that it had a place to put a smartphone, near the base of the lamp. There is a clip there that you can adjust so it could possibly hold a variety of phones. I can see how that would be useful, like if you wanted to use your phone while it was nighttime but you didn't want to turn the main light on. Overall this met my needs and I'm happy that it can fit right on my desk to help me see in a dark area of my home.

This is a great little desk lamp. It has three temperatures, bright, warm, and natural. The USB power is convenient and can be plugged into a computer or a brick / into the wall. The in-line power switch has on/off, toggle between the three different color temperatures, and also a dimming and brightening feature. There is an adjustable cell phone holder on the bottom (it can be moved up and down, or side-to-side). It comes disassembled in a small box but is very easy to put together - no instructions needed; it's quite intuitive. This little lamp provides A LOT of light and can be aimed in any direction you need because the arm is flexible. It's over a foot high (of course varying depending on how you aim the gooseneck) and is a good lamp for a desk / computer setup. Very happy with this item!

While it is described as a desk lamp, I've found this is rather small and I like it better as a ring light for meetings on zoom or for video work at my desk. It's really easy to use, just set it on your desk and point in the direction you want light. Move it around and it will stay in position - so it's really easy to use. Beyond zoom meetings and video, I think this would be excellent for crafting, sewing, and other desk work. The light is very bright and it has a phone holder, so you can place your phone on it to follow instruction from YouTube or talk to someone easily. Brightness for the light is adjustable to 10 different levels. The only negative consideration you might have is that the light gets really hot if you have it on for a long period of time. It must be plugged into a USB plug to work. I give it 5 stars for being exactly as I expected from the description and working fine.
