Product smells great. Not heavy with perfumes which works great for my sensitive nose. It doesn't foam much so you have to use a bit more. Overall I love it. I would be checking other products in this brand.

This smells so strongly of lavender its shocking. Tried it one time and my cheeks are burning still after two rounds of moisturizer. I have somewhat sensitive skin. I trust Honest company and stupidly let my kid try it first. Thankfully she didn’t seem as affected and liked the smell. Very gentle cleanser, non-drying and a light fragrant smell. Some other "gentle cleansers" actually cause my skin to flake and are extremely drying, this cleanser is gentle but also effective in making me feel clean and one or two pumps is perfect. I do not find this formula gentle. Dires me out, strong scent, seems to live slight residue. I like the really basic stuff - looking for a replacement for Curology formula. This is not it.

Reviewing a product like this is always going to be based on personal experience. Not just with shipping, packaging and the like, but with product effectiveness. What works well for my skin might not work well for someone else’s, so just as you shouldn’t take every negative review of skincare products as gospil, you shouldn’t take mine that way either. My sister recommended this cleanser for me, and for me, it works very well. A little does go a long way, so the bottle lasts a reasonable amount of time. My skin responds well to the gentle ingredients, and I like how cleansed my face always feels after washing with this product. There is no unnecessary perfume or added scent, which is also a plus. The cleanser itself has its own odor in my opinion, but it isn’t invasive or offensive, but quite mild. All in all, this is definitely a win for me and I’ve purchased it twice already. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Skinfix product I was using, so I tried this. It's even better at removing my mascara and just as gentle on my senstive skin. My skin feels absolutely clean and not dried out- very important for my dry, mid-fourties skin.Doesn't bother my eyes either! I prefer this gel style - it's not super thick so it's easy to apply, and a little goes a long way. I like that it's unscented too - just a neutral soapy smell. Try it.
