Firstly, I am impressed with the quality of the monitor and Camera. Very solid, particularly the monitor screen. I have carried it around and tossed it in whatever I was carrying, and no problems. Secondly I like the granularity of adjustments for both movement and sound. You can create a threshold trigger for all. I have tested in a large two story house, and the connection is good between camera and Monitor. I work in IT, and appreciate the fact, this device does not need to be on my own private network. I purchased this to monitor to keep an eye on our little puppy. When I am in a different part of the house I want to make sure he is not getting into anything or eating my furniture. The screen is pretty clear, and I am able to keep an eye on him especially while I am working. Now my twins are a little older but I still use a monitor since they sleep on a separate floor from myself. Recently their room setup changed and I found my dual camera monitor was not necessary anymore. I have never wanted a monitor that was on my phone so it was great to see a connected monitor and camera set. So let’s talk hood versus Meh Pros: Monitor battery life is really good in fact I’ve never had one last through a whole night. Good size and wide angle view from the camera. Clear picture. Day and night mode. Quiet yet fairly sensitive to actual sounds no more using it as a white noise machine Cons: Audible click from the camera when it goes from nighttime to daytime It is only in military time with no changes available and sorry if I had newborns I wouldn’t be able to decipher the time No temperature gauge (not a flaw just a preference) There is a white noise feature for the monitor but kinda confusing and it takes away sound from the camera. There are spelling errors on the monitor for instructions (maybe a personal pet peeve?) and the verbiage can be confusing as to what the features are. Overall for my older kids this is going to do the job decently but it needs to be vetted a bit more by the company.

Right out of the box, for some reason, the camera wouldn't connect with the monitor. We had to remove the camera from pairing, tried to pair it again, didn't work. We reset the monitor then finally the pairing was successful and everything worked. I would say the white noise and microphone isn't high quality, but we are satisfied with the video.

This baby monitor and camera set is pretty decent. The video is crisp and clear for both night time and day time. I was impressed with the long battery life of the monitor; it went for most of the night without needed to be plugged in. There are numerous features on the monitor, including alarms, reminders, audio settings, SD card setup, lullaby songs for the camera, etc. The range is impressive; I was able to get the video feed from the camera on the monitor on different floors of the house. There are some cons to this device, most are minor; the intercom audio isn’t great, only military time setup, and the buttons UI isn’t intuitive. The biggest drawback is the inability to rotate the camera remotely and the video is only great if the camera is over the crib (longer distance and it becomes blurry). Overall, a decent camera for the price. It’s not my primary baby monitor but I will use it, especially when I travel with the baby on overnight trips.
