This is the best coffee. I went to the plantation on Kauai. They have peaberry there, but apparently they keep that on the island. This is in bean form, so it has to be ground, but imo, that makes it tastier because it's fresh. This is a medium roast, and it's very mild with low acidity.

It tastes like below average coffee. Was cheap so I thought I would take a stab at it. It’s bitter and not smooth. It’s not even Hawaiian coffee (10%). I’d pass if I were you.

I see a lot of coffee purists and/or coffee afficionado's are upset that it is only 10% Hawaiian coffee. I don't get bothered by that as long as the taste is good and this coffee is delicious! Plus it keeps the price lower. No bitterness in this batch. My first pot was made too strong and it was still a mellow flavor without any bitterness. Today's pot was made perfectly and it could not taste any better. Where ever they are getting the other 90% of their coffee, it still better than most coffees I have tried. The flavor profile is definitely not nutty or chocolaty but has more of a floral note. It is a true medium roasted coffee bean, so a little goes a long way. One thing I can't answer is whether this company is consistent with their beans. I buy a medium whole bean coffee from my local supermarket and it is usually the best coffee for the money but as of late the beans have been really light roasted and I have to double the amount of coffee to get the right flavor. If this company is consistent with their roast, they will get my business. ... show more
