    • Good coffee but don't like the packaging

I do not like how this is packaged. I'm the only person in my house that drinks coffee. I drink about 3 cups a day. This is a single bag consisting of 5 lbs of beans - that is a lot of coffee. I think it would get a stale taste at the rate I consume coffee. I ended up getting my vacuum sealer out and packing this into smaller, vacuum sealed bags to keep it fresher. Ok, that is the only thing I did not care for about this coffee. The flavor was right one. It is a nice, bold breakfast coffee. It tasted fresh and had a nice after taste. The price is also better than others I have recently sampled. All things considered, this is a good price. I will likely buy this again - but will also have to vacuum seal it as I just don't think it will stay fresh in the 5lb bag. (Maybe this is for restaurants or offices with higher coffee consumption? I wish they used smaller bags). ... show more

First off, I don't even know why I am writing this review as coffee is such a personal preference. So much depends on how you prepare your coffee---I can make a great bean taste terrible or a mediocre bean taste decent just by altering grind size, water temp and brew method so this may or may not be helpful. I bought this coffee based on the reviews. I generally drink long blacks and make lattes for my wife. We weren't huge fans of this coffee when used for espresso. The coffee is strong but lacks character when compared to other medium roasts, and might be a good choice for drip or a French press, but I won't be buying it again once I finish the 5 lb bag. At least the coffee arrived fresh. I'll update the review if I end up grinding some beans for a pour-over or AeroPress. ... show more

I was so excited to get this and it is a huge bag. Unfortunately, it doesn’t taste that great but I will finish the bag and I’m sure other people love this coffee. It’s just not up to My standards.
