I have a very small standard poodle (50 pounds) and this donut, while adorable, seemed a little small for her as she could still reach her stitches after being fixed. I will say it was comfortable for her vs. a plastic cone. I liked that she could lie down as well as eat while wearing it. We needed a dog collar so my dog wouldn't lick her meds off her leg. I didn't want to make her suffer through one of those plastic cones. This collar was simple to blow up and it fits her very well. The velcro straps help keep the collar in place. A great alternative to the plastic cones.

I purchased this adorable donut for my Great Dane to wear after her spay. She is such a spaz that I knew we would not survive 2 weeks with a giant cone of shame. I purchased the XL and it was actually a little loose but we made it work. She was not the least bit bothered by wearing it, and most importantly, was not able to reach her incision site. i measured this against my dog and it was the correct inner diameter. however if you dont continually pump it up, it loosens and the dog can get it off. also the outer diameter of the donut needs to be bigger, to prevent reach.

This is the cutest alternative to a cone. Its definitely more comfortable for your pets, as it gives them a permanent travel pillow but if they don't want to wear this thing, they will find a way to remove it. Even with the collar bit used, you really have to crank it down on your pet's neck, and that made me a bit nervous. I followed the sizing guidance and I cannot close the ring around my dog’s neck, let alone fasten it properly. It is so small that I’m unsure an XL will fit my cattle dog/fox terrier mix.
