My dog was spayed in May and didn’t like the cone that she had to wear home from the vet. I got one of these for her and she loved it. She liked it so much that she didn’t even want to take it off after her incisions healed. It also helped her sleep and provided neck support and comfort for her as well.

I was really worried she wouldn’t like this one, so I purchased a nicer cone style one as well, just incase. Those plastic ones like the vet sent her home in really aren’t comfy. When I first put it on her she wasn’t so sure, but I figured I would give it a chance. After I distracted her from it, It took probably a few minutes for her to adjust and realize that was better than the cone one and she hasn’t complained about it! To be honest, besides it getting in her way when she is trying to walk and sniff the ground at the same time (she is a puppy so still low to the ground though), she actually likes it! It’s like a built in pillow! I was planning on swapping it out at night to the cone one, but seeing how comfy she is using it as a pillow, I didn’t bother changing it. She can easily play with her toys still, and easily drink and eat from her food bowls. She can’t get to her incision from being spayed at all. I will take it off today and clean it, so I’ll see how it washes up. What I’ve learned about it is not to have so much air in it that it’s too firm. That may differ from dog to dog though. She did try and get it off one time and got her legs stuck in it. I think what happened was she tried to get it off with one foot, it got stuck, so she tried to get unstuck with the other, and ended up with both getting stuck. But, I also don’t have her collar as tight as it could be, so tightening her collar a little more would fix that issue if she kept doing that. Tui was a foster fail, and once she is up to date on her shots I will be fostering more puppies. So I will be using this again in the future!

With a collar fit through the loops, this fit and stayed in place extremely well. But it wasn't sufficiently limiting her head movement. She was able to pull her bandage off while wearing this. We had to go back to the cone type. Our dog is MUCH happier wearing this one than the other. But we just can't trust it to prevent her pulling off the bandages again.
