I was looking for a new 7' medium heavy spinning rod for a trip coming up. I don't normally buy 2 pc rods but thought I would for this trip. I was impressed with the other KastKing products I have seen and used so I decided to try this one and I am glad I did. It came packaged very well in a tube, in a box. The tube is sturdy enough you could use it as a rod tube to carry the rod in on a trip and not worry about it getting broke and if you do break a tip it comes with another complete top section. It cast well with light line ( 10 LB Braid ) and light lures ( 1/8 oz )as well as heaver line ( 30 LB braid )and heaver lures (1/2 to 3/4 oz) has good sensitivity for a rod at this price. The EVA foam handles have a good fill, and it's light and very balanced with several reels I tried it with ( 2500 to a 4000) size. If you are looking for a good rod at a good price I don't think you will go wrong.

1) The rod arrived nicely packed in a tube. 2) what it surprised me is the extra tip. The product mentions there will be an extra tip, which I thought is just a terminal tip. But in fact, it is the whole 2nd piece! This is great when something is broken on the 2nd piece, we don’t need to bother fixing it, instead we can just use the extra 2nd piece. How convenient it is! 3) I do salt water boat fishing mostly. The 6’10” MH rod that I got here help cast nicely. It has good backbone, light weight, and is well balanced! 4) The only thing that I didn’t give 5 star for is when I use this 6’10” for jigging on my boat. Maybe because of some of the following reasons a) the tip bouncing too fast b) a bit more line guides than usual for example my ugly stick c) the line guides are smaller, vertical jigging the rod can cause tangling on the tip about once per five jigs. This brings come inconvenience. Having said this, the rod is still great for casting or people who don’t fish from a boat.

I have ALOT of fishing gear, and this for the price is great. It’s got a nice action and feel, and so far the durability is great, and I’m not worried because it comes with an extra tip. The casting distance is not the best, but again for the price it’s great. Comparing this to a middle end rod like my halo carbon rod, this performance is just as good.

WOW. As an avid fisherman never have I been blown away by such a great budget rod. Not only does this rod come with an extra tip, but it doesn't even need it! I fish for largemouth bass on top water frog all summer long, so to say that I absolutely whip this stick around would be an understatement. I don't recommend this rod for anything other than bass and smaller pike for game, as it's honestly too powerful for anything else and falls short of the power needed for some 40inch muskies and etc. This rod is incredibly durable, With that longer length I get extra accurate and powerful casts, and overall I would recommend to any whopper flopper, popper, frog, and jig fishing because of how great it is at setting those hooks. Get this rod and go catch your PB!

Kast King is quickly becoming one of my favorite fishing brands. Unfortunately the rod snapped the first time out (but not because of the quality). I called up Kast King and they replaced it right away. I've taken that rod out several times and even caught my PR on it with no issue.
