After reading reviews I thought I'd roll the dice on this inexpensive set up. Couldn't be more pleased. As soon as I got it I spooled up some 12 lb test, and a texas rigged worm. Within a few minutes I was out in the yard casting as well with it as I can with much more expensive setups. The rod is well balanced, comfortable, and responsive. I bought the 7 ft M/H 2 piece. It goes together easily and feels very snug where the pieces join. After multiple cast, no indication that there was any slipping at the rod joint at all. Very impressed and would buy again. Edit: After using this rod (and reel) my initial impression was more than justified. This is a quality setup and outstanding performer. In addition, for submitting a review I received a pair of 7 in. KastKing Cutthroat Pliers. They are 21.99 at Amazon. Very well designed and built with a nice belt clip carrying case and security lanyard. Worth buying, but getting them for free was a definite bonus to the whole purchase. There was a review that said don't bother with Survey Monkey as it doesn't work...well, it does and it's well worth the time.

I spare 5⭐️ and don’t throw them around much. I have to give one on this rod I like it that much. Lightweight and sensitive with near perfect balance paired with a 40r just simply works fantastic and had common size cats in mind from 2 to 10 lbs with this combination. The 2 piece Perigee II MH action has great spine for setting of the hook and with enough flex to maneuver fish with ease in landing them. The small Fuji eye rings with 8 strand braid glides as smoothly as mono. The reel seat and contoured fastening nut is awesome. I tossed a couple old reels on it and tightened it up to see how well it seated other reels and not one was a problem to properly seat. No slack or wobble but all firmly seated. I have had other rods in the past this was a real issue with and not all reels would properly seat to some rods. I am very pleased with this rod and simply can’t find a thing I dislike about it. I was not sure about the smaller eyes and the way the two pieces connected together at first. ( fluted joint reversed compared to most used ) With that said, these two points are not an issue any longer and have no doubts. If one didn’t know,.. they might think the two piece was a one piece rod. Simply by the way it handles and performs. It works. It’s comfortable, and effective. I am quickly becoming a KastKing snob.

I've had many fishing rods. Some of which I really like. But, this rod is amazing for the price. Smooth and consistent in feel throughout Its entire length. It feels like my one piece rods. The grip is comfortable and fits my hand nicely. It has good sensitivity. I can feel the lure action and if it hits vegetation or a rock. Of course, it feels a fish take the lure. It's one of the nicest rods I've owned. I have the 7 foot. I will be using this rod mostly on a kayak. So, 7 foot is a good length for me. I got two tips (medium light & medium). I didn't notice a difference with the tips just holding the rod. But, I feel the difference casting and fishing. I have the Kastking White Max 5:1 reel on it. I wrote a review on the reel. Very nice combo. When fishing from the bank or walking to a pond it's nice to have choices without carrying extra rods. I don't plan on changing tips while fishing. I'll decide how I want to fish at the start and use appropriate rod tip /reel combo. I saved the shipping tube. Added some paracord and made it a carry case. It's a lot of value for the money. I've ordered another Kastking reel (7:1 retrieve). I will eventually order another Perogee rod (probably medium &medium heavy tips). My wife won't let me but everything in one month ! Maybe taking her out to dinner will get the second rod sooner?!?

Bought this fishing pole for my husband and he is obsessed. After a few weeks of use, he’s told me multiple times now, that out of all his poles, this is his favorite. He loves the length, weight, and has never cast so far, in comparison to similar poles. We’ll be sticking with this brand from here on out. Fantastic product!

I was skeptical at first as the brand name was previously unknown to me. After seeing so many positive reviews and videos I decided to give it a try. I have not been dissatisfied. The fact that it comes with two tips in different action. Fuji guides are great - very rare for a rod at this price point. Great action and durable. Is it the most balanced or lightest weight - no - but it is still balanced and light weight and better than most anything in this price range. Very happy and I have multiple Kast King rods now.

What a rod: Light, durable, and with good components. I have owned at least several dozens of expensive rods. This one is even better than some name brand rods that cost three to five times as much. Besides, this rod has a spigot connection used on the expensive fly rods produced by the companies like Orvis. The rod feels like one piece, which in itself is amazing. I used to be against having a two piece rod. Having used this, I changed my mind. Now, I will use two piece rod from Kastking. In addition, there are two upper pieces interchangeable to suit the situation. What a great idea. The only thing I wish the company did was to have the rod come with a case. Well done, Kastking!

Great looking rod, but very tiny eyelets, so not sure how thats gonna go with any knots other than the FG, and I wish they offered the handle in cork, IME cork lasts longer and doesn't deteriorate as quick as foam, my old cork handles have lasted 40yrs or more as long as your not destructive to it.
