Title says all. Added the bulbs to my Wi-Fi network via the TP Link Kasa app, installed TP Link Kasa integration into Home Assistant and after a few minutes the bulbs were detected no problem. After that you are off to the races! Use Home Assistant to configure the bulbs to power on with automations/timers, or use the Kasa software.. your choice. Been using for a couple of weeks and no major issues thus far. The real bummer is that after a power outage, when the power returns the Kasa light bulbs turn back on… even if the bulbs had been OFF before the power went off. I looked in TP Link forums and other folks have complained about this too. It is a known issue that will probably never be fixed (TP Link doesn’t have the best software update reputation). To work around this I applied a preset of “1% brightness” for the power-on state. That way if power goes out and comes back on, the bulbs are only on at 1% and don’t waste as much electricity. Power outages are rare, so this is a minor annoyance. The software seems to have a setting to account for this, but the setting isn’t fully built out. Not sure why TP Link never finished that option. I guess another workaround could be to hook the lamps with the bulbs up to a UPS, but that seems like overkill for this! Other than that the bulbs work great and the colors are awesome. I wish I could use these bulbs in “fully enclosed luminaries” but I cannot. I didn’t realize that until AFTER purchase. But it seems there is no LED smart bulb that can be used in a fully enclosed luminary. I intended to install these in fully enclosed ceiling lights, but after reading that warning decided to place them in some reading lamps instead.

I love smart bulbs

I've been buying Kasa bulbs and replacing my regular bulbs slowly for the last six or seven years. The Kasa app works really well. The only thing that I would like to see would be more preset color themes for groups of bulbs. Alexa is an idiot about most things, but the routines I've set up for my bulb groups work well and help me get to bed on time because I have a routine that turns them off automatically. ;) Since I've been buying them, I recently had the first or second one I bought stop going to full brightness, but the color range still works perfectly. It doesn't matter much other than when you have it on the white settings for a bright light in the room.

TPLink's Kasa smart devices have been my go-to wifi devices and their bulbs don't disappoint. They're easy to setup and are reliable that I don't buy more expensive zigbee bulbs anymore. They're good and bright in white and RGB modes too. TPLink's app is useful and works across all TP-Link devices which is probably one of the best reason to get these TP-Link bulbs.

These bulbs were NOT hard to hook up to my Internet. The "Smart Things" app recognized them WITHOUT issue. I use Samsung Smart Tags to control them through the Smart Things app. No issues. They integrated with Alexa WITHOUT any issues. So I use the Smart Tags & Alexa to control them. There's the Kasa app as well. 3 ways to control these lights. The ONLY con is that they're NOT that bright. Where my other bulb lit up the area, this one needs 2 to do the same job in the hallway. Otherwise I'm happy with this purchase & would recommend them.

These are so easy to install and set up in the app. I'm slowly replacing all of my Hue bulbs with these because they don't need a bridge and work just as well. The interface of the iPhone app is also really well done.

Very impressed. Great color. Great app. Great options. Separate behavior settings for power on & app on. Will retain color and brightness after power off. Don't need four? Give some to your friends. Built in scheduler if you want to do it that way too.
