  • Compact, super light, and sturdy
Style: Quick Release Wheels
The media could not be loaded. We gave this to my friend for Christmas. He needs a lightweight chair for when he takes Uber's or people who can't handle the bigger chair take him out. He's really happy with it. It is very lightweight. It is very easy to handle. Seems well designed. Since I'm not the user, I don't have a lot more to say, but as someone who helps him when we go out, I can say that this was a huge game changer. I'm pretty strong, but a friend who has less strength could manipulate this up a small curb down a small curb and push it with such ease. Also was much easier for him to get himself around in the restaurant, th restroom, etc. with this lightweight chair than with the one from medical insurance. The thing he mentioned is that if he does lean way back it could be unstable. So the center of gravity has to be more to the middle or front (normal resting the back against the chair is perfectly fine). So if you don't have torso control, it's probably not the right chair for you. ... show more

  • Super light and compact chair for travel
Style: Fixed Axle
We just returned from a 3 week trip with the chair, it folded up small enough we were able to store it in the cabin of the plane (not the overhead) and very easy to load into the car. We did not experience any operational issues and would highly recommend this product. We added additional seat and back cushions which helped on uneven ground and cobblestones. The attendant breaks are very helpful to stabilize the chair to aid in standing up, or getting into the chair, the wheel locks are also helpful. ... show more

  • BEST WHEELCHAIR EVER
Style: Fixed Axle
This is the best wheelchair ever. The only thing we had to do was to attach the feet/leg pads. It's so light. Nothing cumbersome about this chair. My 92 year old mom loves it as it's comfortable with a smooth ride. it is worth every penny!

  • Light weight. Easy to travel with. Easy to get in and out of vehicle.
Style: Quick Release Wheels
This wheel chair is easy to operate. Some assembly but not hard. Fits well in vehicle. We looked for a light weight wheel chair specifically for easy access in and out of vehicle. This one met that expectation. I choose a wheel chair rather than transfer chair thinking mom might use her arms to move the chair when she feels like it. Gives her some independence. ... show more

  • This is light wheigh and I am glad I bought it.
Style: Quick Release Wheels
I have a bad back and have to lift this for my wife into the car. I have only good things to say and the hand brakes our a blessing for hilly areas it a lot safer. You should buy this wheelchair.

  • Can be Dangerous
Style: Quick Release Wheels
While I appreciate and enjoy every other aspect of this wheelchair, it has a very high risk of being dangerous to the companion pushing the wheelchair. The problem is there is no way to lock the brakes using only the rear handles. The handle squeeze brakes, as shown in the pictures, appear to be like others that are on the walkers that I have, where they can lock the wheels simply by pressing the handles down to a locked position. The squeeze handles do work well while pushing a rider, and the rider can lock the wheels securely using the brake handles beside them that are toward the front of the chair. But after the rider’s exit, because there is no means of locking the brakes from the rear handles, the chair will roll forward immediately (especially on an incline) after the companion releases the rider’s brakes, while you are stooping and leaning forward to reach them. This leaves me dangerously ready to fall forward for injuries while the light, less stable chair rolls forward out from under me as I try desperately to find the rear brake handles to stop the chair! ... show more

  • Most excellent low cost ultralight wheelchair I could find.
Style: Quick Release Wheels
The wheels on this wheelchair were larger in diameter than those on a wheelchair weighing five pounds less but costing more than twice as much. Excellent wheelchair and excellent value if you require an ultralight wheelchair.

  • FAULTY WORKMANSHIP BROKEN BRAKING SYSTEM. I DO NOT RECOMMEND A KARMAN WHEELCHAIR
Style: Quick Release Wheels
THE BRAKE HANDLE METAL LEVER COMPLETELY TWISTED AND BROKE. This is the Karman Ergo Ultralight wheel chair. I paid top dollar. These wheelchairs are expensive. You naturally assume your high priced wheelchair will be of the best quality. WRONG. Within 8 - 9 months the right brake handle fell off. I had to get someone to find nuts and bolts to replace the missing ones. The braking system seemed flimsy. The metal lever in the right brake bent out of shape. I had to push the metal in the lever back in place. I constantly had to get someone to tighten the nuts and bolts. The grey mesh fabric used for the back and seat easily discolored. I had to constantly scrub the mesh down with a scrub brush and soap to eliminate the staining. Aside from an unreliable braking system the chair was easy to use and lightweight to transport. Comfortable to seat in. Easy to fold up. Wheels are easy to pop off. Too bad it has braking issues. The metal in the braking mechanism completely twisted and broke where some nut and bolt fell out. Look closely at the picture I attached. I ended up with a totally unusable wheel. I don’t have a spare wheelchair so this totally upended my portability since I am wheelchair bound. I Karman customer service left me with a broken wheelchair. Said they would mail replacement parts without instructions and needed hardware. They didn’t even bother to expedite mailing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WHEELCHAIR NOT NOW NOT EVER. I HAVE DOUBTS ABOUT THE ENTIRE KARMAN BRAND. LITTLE TO NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. ... show more
