I have mixed feelings about the PranaSleep Karma Cooling Latex Pillow. If I were rating this strictly on how it feels to lay my head on it, I’d likely give it 4 stars. However, considering the price point and the specific marketing claims, I'm giving it a 3-star rating because it simply doesn't deliver on everything it promises. The Good: Premium Comfort & Support Strictly as a pillow, it performs well. Latex Feel: The 100% latex foam fill provides a unique buoyancy that you don't get with memory foam. It’s bouncy and resilient. Firmness: It offers the firm support advertised, which is great for keeping your head from sinking too far in. Position: As a back and side sleeper, I found the contoured shape and loft (6 inches high) to be comfortable and supportive for my neck and shoulders. It definitely feels like a high-end hotel pillow in terms of build quality. The Bad: "Cooling" Claims Fall Short The main reason for the lower rating is the "Cooling" aspect. The product claims to use "innovative cooling phase change material" to regulate temperature for hot sleepers. Reality: In my experience, it doesn't check this box. The most impressive about this PranaSleep latex pillow is that it actually made me a believer in this brand and their quality to value ratio. I moved from a traditional memory foam pillow to this unit and the difference in performance is massive. It hits the mark for a solid upgrade and I can confidently say I will never go back to my old traditional memory foam pillow. It's not really fluffy; more like the shape retention is just dialed in with precision. The material science here is excellent because it offers a unique springiness combined with a high cradling capacity. This pillow definitely has more structure than a super soft sink-in pillow, so I think it makes the most sense if you actually want firmer support. I liked that it felt supportive without completely flattening out, and the cooling aspect was nice too since I don’t love bedding that traps heat. The queen size is generous, and it worked best for side and back sleeping where the shape and firmness felt more intentional. If you only like super plush pillows, this probably won’t be your favorite, but for support and a cooler feel, it’s a good option. The smell also sticks around for a while so people with sensitive noses might not like it.

I rotate through every conceivable position throughout the night, though mostly I’m either on my side or on my stomach. I’m quite fussy about my pillows and have tried so many. I used to prefer goose down for the support and softness but down tends to provide an inconsistent sleep experience over time. I also find that synthetic fills and memory foam pillows are either too dense or too plush for my liking. It wasn’t until I tried out this PranaSleep latex pillow that I finally found the perfect pillow and here’s why. The latex core of the pillow is firm and holds your head up, preventing it from sinking into the center of the pillow. This is great for me because I don’t like when the edges of the pillow press up against my eyes and nose, which happens with plush pillows. However, the pillow is also incredibly soft at the same time without swallowing your face. Unlike down or memory foam pillows, the latex is very springy. Once you lift your head off the pillow there’s no indication you had laid on it; it just bounces back. When you lay back down, it gently gives and lowers your head ever so slightly. This phenomenon is uniform and you get a consistent response from one end of the pillow to the other. The pillow is also set to a what I feel is an optimum height for its springiness, so that it keeps your spine/neck straight whether you’re on your back, side or stomach. I wouldn’t call this a cooling pillow; it’s more that it maintains a neutral temperature by dissipating the heat very efficiently. I don’t find that I need to flip the pillow or move to a new area because it gets too warm. The pillow is perfect in every way---except one---which is the price. Yes, it is quite expensive for a pillow. Still, if you have the money and have been struggling to find the Holy Grail of pillows I just described, then you should consider the investment. Lastly, I’m not a fan of the hidden zipper on the washable outer cover that PranaSleep provides; it’s just too delicate and gets caught quite easily. I recommend placing the pillow, with its outer cover, into another pillow cover and then placing a proper pillowcase over all of that. This way you can switch/wash your pillowcases on a regular basis, wash your own provided outer cover when you feel the need, and never touch the hidden zipper on PranaSleep’s outer cover. Overall, I highly recommend this pillow.

I received this pillow and the smell was so incredibly intense. So bad, I still to this day haven’t been able to use it. I thought if I took the cover off and let it air out it would get better nope. I missed my return window and am now out $200! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!!

This pillow is ok. It is soft and moderately supportive. I like the latex material because it bounces right back as opposed to memory foam. For me, it is not thick enough. I like a pillow that is thicker with more support. It is much thinner than I prefer. It feels well made. However, I do not noticed any type of cooling effects. The pillow sleeps warm. For me, I do not think it is worth $200.

This is the second pillow I have ordered from this company. This one works just as well as the first one I ordered. This one in the title says is the cooling latex pillow and that it is is very firm and it's great for back or side sleepers.
