Nice slim floor lamp - once you pair the remote to the lightbulb - there are many options to set the lighting to be perfect for the room. To pair the remote to the light bulb: 1. Assemble the lamp and screw in the included light bulb. Plug lamp in and turn it on with the floor button to make sure the bulb works. 2. Turn off the lamp with the same floor button and wait about 30 seconds. 3. Turn on the lamp again with the floor button and immediately press and hold for about 5 seconds the button on the remote with the sun icon that has the number 1 on it. You know the lamp is paired after the lamp automatically turns itself off then on twice which is the result of pressing/holding the button on the remote. 4. Use the off and power buttons to test the remote controls. Adjust the lamp color (whiter/warmer) using the 2 buttons left and right of the night mode button (the crescent moon icon) in the middle. You can also control the lamp brightness up or down. I noticed that if I cut power to the wall switch controlling the outlet my lamp was plugged into, all of my lamp settings reverted to the default settings. So I leave the wall switch power on and use the remote on/off to retain my lamp settings. I used sticky Velcro to attach the remote close to the wall switch for convenience. ... show more

    • Stylish, easy to assemble -- it's a win! (And I figured out remote pairing!)

We bought two of these lamps to flank a basement TV about 14 months ago and they've been fantastic. Stylish, affordable, super easy to assemble and we love the dimming/color options. We're now in the process of creating a home office and needed something to add some ambience, so we bought another one. Getting the remote to pair was tricker than I remember this time around, though. There are lots of reports in these reviews about remotes not working -- and I can understand why. Simply, the instructions on this page say to tap the 'Group 1' button 3 times after powering on the light. That did nothing for me but create frustration. So I messaged the seller and they replied within a couple of hours, giving me the same instructions. Thankfully though, they also included a more comprehensive instruction guide. So, to successfully pair the new lamp to the remote, I had to HOLD the 'Group 1' button down for 3 seconds. It worked straight away. Here are the instructions (and please note that I had to use the second method for a single lamp): Total pairing- 1.Turn off the lamp power for more than 10 seconds. 2.Turn on the power, turn on the lamps, and long press the 'Full ON' button on the remote control (complete within 3 seconds after the lights are turned on). 3.The light flashes to indicate that the total code matching is successful. (This fixture is in the total switch pairing mode: no grouping, three groups of switching functions the same.) Group pairing- 1.Turn off the lamp power for more than 10 seconds. 2.Turn on the power, turn on the lamps, and long press one of the groups of 'group1---group 3 on the remote control (completed within 3 seconds after the light is on). 3.The light will flash to indicate that the pairing is successful. (This fixture is in group pairing mode: the remote control 'group 1-group, you can only control the on and off of this light with the corresponding group button.) Good luck! ... show more

It’s a seems a bit flimsy and doesn’t give off the “high end” look but I needed something quick for our smart plug to turn the lamp on when we’re not home. For the time being it seems good so I’m hoping it’ll last long enough to make my purchase worth it. At first the remote wouldn’t pair but I did what the instructions said … unplugged and took out the bulb and reinstalled and it worked!! L ... show more

I like the lamp but after putting a couple AAA batteries in the remote and verifying they’re in correctly, it doesn’t control the lamp. We like the lamp but it would be so much better if the remote actually worked. I’ll change my review if customer service comes through. Update: After a couple days the seller contacted me via this review explaining how to pair the remote. When I tried doing that the lamp would not even turn on. So I’m having them replace the lamp. I have updated the number of stars because of good customer service. I really like the lamp, I want it to work. Hopefully the replacement will accomplish that. Stay tuned! ... show more

I needed a lamp for a small space. This lamp has a small footprint and is stylish. It looks great in our space. It was easy to put together and came packaged really well. Instructions were perfect. What was unclear to me at first before I bought it is that the bulb it comes with is a Smart Bulb which is why it works with the remote. So the lamp can be used with a conventional bulb, or any Smart bulb of your choice. Just be aware that if you buy a new Smart bulb, unless it is exactly the same as the one it came with, the remote will not work. But most Smart bulbs come with their own remote. The only issue I had was that the bulb died after less than a day. Because it was a smart bulb I didn't want the expense of having to replace it myself because it should have lasted much longer. I was in touch with the seller and they ended up sending me a whole new lamp, even though I needed just the bulb. I really appreciated that! ... show more

I purchased this floor lamp for a newly renovated bedroom. It is placed next to a chair to be used for reading. The pro's are its price, easy assembly and sleek, contemporary design. The cons, in my opinion, are; the remote has too many features some of which don't seem to deliver and most importantly - it doesn't provide the brightness I think will be needed to read. Still, the Karjoefar floor lamp is particularly attractive providing more soft, ambient light than bright or direct. ... show more

The lamp was super easy to assemble and looks really nice in a corner area. The only issue I had was the remote did not work (and yes, I put batteries in it), had to use smart bulb and Alexa to use the lamp.
