The best thing off the bat was it fit in my existing hole perfectly thanks to the measurements given in the description. It is a good looking unit and offers good functionality. The only issue that we have had is the learning curve. We were used to knobs to turn a unit on, this unit has no knobs, it is button, slider controls. It has a lockout button for child safety that sometimes activates which prevents any operation. It is simple to turn off (when you remember how). The manual does explain the use of the controls. One just needs to use the cooktop some times to remember how it functions. It does have a "double" burner in the center for using in high heat cooking. So far the cooktop has not shown any scratches on it surface, so I am pleased with the purchase. ... show more

So far, we LOVE this cooktop. Very easy to install...even for a 75-year-old! It is almost like a computer runs it, so READ the manual. When cleaning, LOCK the cooktop. That will prevent it from cycling on and off. Very easy to clean. There was indeed a "learning" curve, so the manual is a must.

Only issue I have is how slippery the Burners are, am disabled and have no use of my left arm which makes it impossible for me to stir the pot and keep it in place. The media could not be loaded. This stove top is easier to clean because it’s a flat surface and does t have knobs to clean under. It takes a bit of getting used to for how to properly use the controls but once you figure it out it works well. Heats up fast and cooks our food well.
