Karin Brushmarkers PRO contain 2.4ml of color each. They are produced with 'liquid ink' technology, which means the intensity of color lasts through the last drop. They are twice as efficient as traditional filter markers. In addition, they are equipped with a Japanese super durable and flexible nylon tip. They contain non-toxic paints with an intense dye based color. The colors can be mixed, lightened and obtain tonal transitions by touching the ends of two different markers. These are cool pens!! I've been using water color pencils for years - these are like Derwent Inktense pencils except much more intense! You can get great effects blending out the colors, eg/when you do gradients from a lot of coverage to very little to none - and it looks like stained glass when you done! A few things to be aware of, in my opin: the colors are very bright - I don't think these are what you want if you're looking to create subdued, misty water color effects - the color selection is strong, bright colors & neons. And I think these would be hard to control on really small images if you're say filling in a stamped image with a lot of small areas because these pens are soooo juicy. And, I hate to say it, but invest in really good water color paper - even if you're using the Strathmore 400 series - you'll notice a huge difference if you try Arches with these (use some cheaper stuff to practice with!). And hot press is better for these - I read that cold press can wear these nibs, I don't know about that, but unless you're going for a really bright but loose look, I think these would be hard to control on cold press. One last thing - I was debating whether I should knock off a star for this: I found that the greys - warm, cold, and/or neutral do not dissolve & spread in that 'watercolor way' - I don't know why. Mine pens in those colors are full of ink, but the ink goes on & sits very much like a marker. In fact, when i got my set the greys were the first colors that I tested & I actually looked up the order online because I thought 'oh, no, I ordered regular pens & not the water color markers!" But the other colors are juicy & blendy & runny, it's only those greys and a couple of the yellows were similar, but not nearly as much. Even with this flaw, however, these are great pens - my pictures look like they came off a printer - the colors just glow!! And compare the cost to Copics - yes, these pens aren't as versatile, but they're way less than half the price!! Take the money you save & buy some Arches to go with them!!

I began using the Karin Brushmarkers for lettering, and then I used them like paint with an artist paint brush. These are top-of-the line for beginners and professionals. They do not disappoint. The colors are rich and juicy, the blend quite well and they retain color saturation from start to finish. The ink and pigments used are opaque and the colors are vibrant. The markers can be used like a paintbrush with water.

I really love these markers. They are so versatile and you can use them a multitude of ways. All the colors are so pretty and they are some juicy pens (letterers know what I mean) The pens are good for medium size projects. They are about the same thickness as a tombow and write with a good saturation. I would make sure to use on proper paper so you don’t ruin the tips of your pens.

I have not found a paper that works best with these color ink brushes. I find that when I lay down a color next to a black line, they run the black ink outlines. This ends up transferring black ink into the color brush tip and discolors the tips. I may be using them incorrectly, or not understanding their power to dissolve black ink lines adjacent to the newly added colors to the prints. Still trying to adjust my application of color to prints. And would like paper suggestions.

They were shipped and delivered very quickly. I ordered them on Oct. 27th. They were estimated to be delivered on Nov. 3rd-10th, but they were delivered today on Oct. 30. I had a couple questions after ordering and The Dandy Store responded very quickly and was beyond helpful. So awesome Customer Service. And the Karin Markers are just perfect. They were packaged perfectly. I wasn't missing and markers and didn't receive duplicates. I love the markers themselves already based on me testing them after opening them! The colors are all beautiful and vibrant . I would absolutely order again from The Dandy Store and now I know I've got to order the Metallic Karin Markers 😁

I got this set for my sister. It arrived early and was in a box inside of a box. She loves them so much! These are the best she has used to date! The colors are vibrant and of high quality!
