I bought this pen set in 2021. That is when I discovered and started buying Kerby Rosanes adult coloring books (which I am in love with) I wound up having a shoulder replacement so I had to let my arm heal, therefore no coloring. This year I decided to break out and dust off my coloring stuff and these pens are not dried up at all, they color just like new. They haven't lost any ink that I didn't use on a picture by using it. I am seriously saying I'm impressed with the quality here. Most pens that just sit around unused lose ink and become dry. The sheer true beautiful color they lay down is brilliant bright and smooth. The pens do not flood the page nor have a hard time writing. It is so simple to love these pens for anything that would involve writing! I attached the current picture that I am working on today so you can have an idea of how well the ink looks in 2 year old pens by this company. Thanks for reading my review. I do intend on buying more from this company as I will tell you, I had other sets by other top notch brands like *Castle Arts and they are dry as a bone. If you catch my drift here. I waited a while to review, because I wanted to try out the pens on various surfaces. They are fantastic for adult coloring books, as the colors are vivid and the fine points allow coloring in very small details. The selection of colors is wonderful and I love that they come with refills. The case is nice for traveling. I feel they are a good value for the price. If using on very thin pages, put a silicone pad or piece of cardstock underneath to prevent bleed-through. ... show more

I have had this set for 2 days and I must say the quality is much better than 2 other sets I have had from other brands. The other brands had a lot of the pens that were dry. These are not dry. The ink flows perfectly. The glitter is sparkly. The metallic is just right, so is the pastel. The colors are eye-catching especially the neon colors. The price was expensive, but worth it. These are awesome. So many colors and refills. The colors are vibrant and smooth. Have not had any issues with any so far and I have had these awhile. A little pricy but worth every bit.

    • Different Types of Inks Flow Differently

If you read the instruction card that comes with these pens, then you will understand why the different types of inks flow differently. The types are Classic (just like the standard basic colored gel inks you would buy for writing); Swirled (blended colors that roll out in the varied colors); Glitter (the inks contain glitter particles, and those particles can clog up if you do not take care with the pens); Metallic (also inks that have particles in them, but much finer than the Glitter types); Neon (with flow that is similar to the Classic pens); Neon Glitter (again the same problem with the regular Glitter pens); Pastel (these inks are a bit thicker than the Classic inks, and take a little bit longer to fully dry, so watch out for smudging.) Do use the provided testing page to try out the effect of the inks, as they do not necessarily dry the way the ink looks like inside the pen. Colors of different types may seem similar when you see them in the case, but when you use them on paper (or card) they may dry differently. Also, if you mean to take photos of any finished artwork done with these pens, be aware that the flash does ... well, FLASH on the Glitters and Metallics. I have to tell everyone that this case w/gel pens is the greatest Amazon purchase I've ever made in my life!! The BLK case is very made well with a small hand strap at the top for easier carrying. Inside the pens are lined up so perfectly, the elastic strap holding them in is very strong & sturdy. It also has a mesh slot to keep all your pen refills in the same place which is a god send cause I'm the type of chick who will put them someplace safe and never again remember where they are 😊 All of the ink in the pens I have used as of now have flowed steady... beautiful bright colors. Quick Review - SUPER WORTH THE PRICE! I have never been more pleased with an item I got from Amazon.
