We bought 3 packs of 24 for our church youth group to use to decorate the outside of their Scriptures. They worked perfectly! The fine tip is a little thicker than a writing tip, but still worked great for drawing lines, outlining pictures, and even writing once we got the hang of it. The dot tip was fun to use to dab designs (flowers, etc) and to full out color. We loved that mistakes could easily be cleaned up with a baby wipe or damp q-tip before the paint dried. Metallic colors take longer to dry than the others, but it was still pretty fast drying, for additional coats or to add other colors. The pens readily produce an opaque color, which is quite intense. The bullet point gives a clear, circular dot, and it may well be that for covering a larger area using it to 'dot' in the color would work best. The paints blend well and don't dry too quickly so blending is easy to do. The fine end is quite long so it can be used for dots, writing, and line strokes. The colors are water soluble and can be spread a little with water to produce a wash of sorts. Of course, these are not watercolors. The gold and silver flow easily and are very good. The white does not produce a good white, but that is normal for so many pen brushes. Some colors are very similar, but overall the range is good. The nib texture and the paint chew up a typical watercolor paper very quickly, so I will use a very smooth, marker paper. Good value. ... show more

This is a great product. All 24 pens worked very well on wood. If you let one color dry, you can paint over it with another color. The pens are very pigmented and the colors are vibrant and very pretty. My only complaint with these pens is the smaller pen tip can sometimes have a slightly lighter ink than the bigger tip. The best bargain acrylic markers ive found. The ink is nice and opaque which is important when using on dark paper or colored backrounds. Ink flows nicely without puddles. My only complaint is that the color numbers are not marked on the barrels. I like to make a color chart of any art set i buy.
