First- this is my first electric bike so not coming as an expert at all. This review will focus on my experience with the bike as a newcomer. The purchasing and delivery experience was hood. Arrived as described and pretty protected. Assembly was pretty straight forward and they send you tools although it is much easier if you have legitimate tool set with wrenches, channel locks, etc. Luckily there are some people on YouTube that go step by step as the there are really no directions or drawings to help. The quality of the ride and experience is really a good value. It keeps it charge and has plenty of power. The pedal assist is great for those times when hills approach and the throttle is great for times when traffic or other circumstances require consistent speed. The seat and handlebars are comfortable as they allow for plenty of small adjustments so you can zero in your fit although the bike is pretty large. Iโm 5โ7โ and feel itโs a little large compared to the non electric bikes I have in both height and length. The only issue I have come across is that the breaking seems to be a little lacking compared to the speeds obtained m full throttle mode. The gears shift smoothly going up and down and the large tires do make it easy to explore rougher terrain. The fit and finish is very nice for the money and the vintage style look gives it eye catching appeal. I have been on a dozen rides from anywhere 30 minutes to 90 minutes and have yet to experience any issues of significance. (I realize it is still to new to give the final verdict). For under $1,500 the bike so far is a great value, lot of fun, and has a unique look to it. There are plenty of other e bikes out there if you want a more traditional look of course but this provides a great choice if the revi cheetah and other vintage style cafe racer bikes arenโt worth spending the extra $1,000-2,000. The bike does need better instructions on assembly and for sure operation of the electronics but I think we are getting used to having to go on our own for things like that at these type of prices. In summary if you are looking for a fun e bike with a different vintage look and want to spend under 1,500- this is a great choice.

I'm absolutely thrilled to share my journey back into biking after a 40-year hiatus, and it's all thanks to the electric bike craze! I spent quite some time surfing the net and finally, my heart settled on this amazing Knape/Hidoes e-bike, snagging an awesome deal for the season. The shipping was impressive - the bike arrived in an incredibly sturdy package, surviving the overseas journey without a hitch due to its top-notch protection. Now, there was a slight hiccup โ the bike came without printed installation instructions. But, no worries! I found an online video clip on Amazon that guided me through the process. Installing the front fender and headlight was a bit of a squeeze, but hey, I managed it flawlessly, even with my two left hands! :) This was my first time ever on an e-bike. I've driven cars, trucks, buses, and motorcycles, but an e-bike? That was new territory. Again, I hit a snag with no printed guide for the controls. Not even YouTube or Amazon had anything! But, tucked away on the Hidoes website, I found some hints, and a downloadable PDF file that saved the day. The bike is just perfect for someone my height (I'm 6 feet tall), and every part screams heavy-duty quality. That first ride? Wow, talk about a challenge! The electric motor packs a punch with its high torque โ it's fast. Like, really, really fast. I haven't even tried the top speed yet. Using the pedal assist up to the second speed was plenty for me, and the throttle's there if I need a boost up to 30KM/h. Hills? A total breeze. The seat's comfy, the front springs and fat tires make for an incredibly smooth ride, and the braking? Smooth as silk, bringing the bike to a controlled stop with ease. I'm beyond satisfied with this purchase. Riding this bike is an absolute joy โ it's the kind of ride that turns heads and gets pointed at. I can't recommend it enough...get yours!!

I received the bike, well packaged and easy to put together. One of the most important things I've learned, as this is my first E-Bike, I there are control units S830 that tell the motor how to work (instant on, delay, hoe to turn the head light on, etc.) These instructions did not come with my bike. I found them, Sort of on You-tube, but without "You Tube" I wouldn't have the directions to learn how to use the bike. Honestly, there is a lot know about riding an electric bike. Please learn what to expect as I have heard of people falling off and hurting themselves. Otherwise, so far great bike!!!

A loud metal to metal clank where the front fork enters the headstock...not good...this bike very fast...and something is wearing out and will break..including me. Hopefully, the vendor will provide information to repair...otherwise it will be returned...dangerous to ride..it will fail...only 10 miles on it. Update...the supplier admitted to the "clank." I took it to a local bike shop to confirm my thoughts on the issue. $2.40 of nylon and rubber washers, 2 hours of my time, and lots of colorful language directed to the supplier for them sending a bike in this condition....I repaired the defect. As expected, if you want product support, buy local. Amazon was on board for a return. That would have involved the supplier to send a new shipping box to me. Myself, boxing it up for shipment, taking it to a shipper, and then waiting to hear from the supplier I was already very disappointed with. Easy route, make the repairs myself on a new bike that was received defective, with no support. So, if you're handy, it's OK.
