  • Finally Enjoying Coffee with 100% Natural Oat Milk
I am lactose intolerant, so I am always looking for a good milk alternative. At the same time, I really love milk — especially coffee with milk. Unfortunately, I usually can’t drink regular milk, so oat milk has become my go-to option. However, every time I check the ingredient list of store-bought oat milk, it honestly makes me uncomfortable. There are so many ingredients that, in my opinion, simply shouldn’t be there. What do you really need for oat milk? Water, oats, and maybe a little sugar or a date if you want. That’s it. But many store versions have long ingredient lists that don’t feel natural at all. That’s why I was very excited when I discovered this Milk Maker. I plan to use it mostly for making oat milk, and I’ve already had a chance to experiment with it. I tried making oat milk using only oats and water — nothing else — and within just a few minutes, I had fresh milk ready. Drinking coffee with milk that you made yourself, knowing exactly what’s in it and that it’s 100% natural, is a completely different kind of pleasure. I genuinely enjoy my coffee so much more now. I also like that this machine offers other functions, such as making nut milk and soy milk. There’s even a boiling water function, which could replace a kettle in some situations. I also think I’ll use it in the future for making blended soups. It does have a self-clean function. I tried it, and while it doesn’t completely eliminate the need for manual washing (I still had to rinse it afterward), that’s not a problem for me. The most important thing is that I am now drinking coffee with oat milk that I am truly happy with. I know exactly which ingredients are in it, and I feel confident that there’s nothing unnecessary or harmful added. I would definitely recommend it. ... show more

  • Very specialized tool for your kitchen.
I ordered the KANIHOME Nut Milk Maker Machine from Amazon, and it was shipped to me quickly, faster than I can make almond milk at home. Lol. Amazon logistics simply works! Our family has kids with certain dietary restrictions, including eliminating cow’s milk from their diet. That doesn’t mean we should withhold the joy of a morning bowl of cereal. We’ve been using nut milks for several years now, which has worked well, but the cost does add up over time. So when I saw this nut milk maker available on Amazon, I thought, who doesn’t need a specialized nut milk maker at home? So I ordered it. Opening the package revealed a very nicely made product. It has a good amount of heft to it and feels substantial. The finish of the product, white in my case blends in nicely with our kitchen décor. It doesn’t feel industrial and fits well in a traditional kitchen. You could easily store it away if you wanted, but we leave ours on the countertop. Functionally, the nut milk maker works exactly as advertised. It’s essentially similar to a blender, but with the heat function. It does exactly what it claims, nothing more nothing less and produces a very nice cup of almond milk. The volume is adjustable, so you can make as much or as little as you’d like. As for durability, I believe this product will stand the test of time. It feels like a quality product in hand, and the blades are very durable, able to pulverize, cut, and chop any nuts you put into it. Would I recommend this to others? That’s a tough question. It’s a great product, but it’s very specialized. You would need to have a specific use for it. If this fits your needs, then yes I can recommend it. ... show more

  • Cooks and blends
We want to be able to make unsweetened soy and oat milk, so we were excited to get this KaniHome Automatic 8-in-1, 32oz unit. The day it arrived I ran a soy milk cycle with just water to test it and there was such a strong smell of burning motor and plastic that we had to air out the house with multiple fans running. Not wanting to repeat that, and reading in the manual that I should expect that as “normal,” I took the unit outside and over the next few days ran many cycles that both heat and blend, using just water. The smell has still not fully dissipated during use. The soy milk and rice paste cycles use different combinations of heat and intermittent blending, the boil water just heats the water (and works very well), and the cold cycles (juice, milkshake, oat milk) get right into blending. A high speed blender does the same as the cold cycles, so where this really shines is if you want to make soy milk or rice paste since those cycles cook the raw ingredients as well as blend. So far I’ve made oat milk, which definitely needs to be strained and thinned out. Next I will try soy milk as soon as I have a chance to get yellow soy beans. The unit pours very neatly. If I had known the smell would persist for so long I’m not sure I would have purchased this unit. ... show more
