  • Worked great to resole my old sandals.
Color: Black
I had an old pair of sandals that I love, but the soles cracked years ago from old age and wearing them a ton. I couldn't bear to throw them out because I can not find another pair anywhere near as comfortable. So I bought a pair of these replacement soles and glued them on with contact cement. they are way bigger than even my size 12s, so after I got them on the sandals I trimmed off the excess with a razor blade and they look pretty good for DIY. Nice tread on the bottom, so shouldn't be slippery. They added a little weight to the sandals because the rubber is nice and thick, but it hasn't bothered me. Give it a shot. For a few bucks, I got my favorite sandals back. ... show more

  • Take your time... and these are a great deal
Color: Black
Although thinner and stiffer than the original Birkenstock soles, these Kaneiji soles allowed me to salvage an old pair of Birkenstock Arizonas. Do take your time, though and remember that BIRKENSTOCK SOLES SHRINK WHEN HEATED! So, do NOT use the soles you removed as your template. (Yes, I did make that mistake. Yes, the soles I cut looked suspiciously small. Yes, I ordered another pair of these replacements.) The Kaneiji soles come very large and will need to be cut to (proper) size, which was easy to do with either scissors or a utility knife. I recommend you cut them somewhat oversized and trim them after bonding. Using Contact Cement (recommended) or Shoe Goo, apply three thin coats - two on sandals, one on the soles. Allow to dry completely (at least 20 minutes) between coats and before bonding. After the Contact Cement has adequately dried (20-100 minutes), carefully align the shoe and sole, then apply with plenty of pressure. Take your time to align sole-to-shoe properly, as you cannot shift these once they come in contact. Cutting the soles a little oversized allows you some 'wiggle room'. The soles can be easily trimmed to the shoe size after bonding. Overall, these are a good product at the right price. Thank you for extending the life of my old well-worn Birkis! ... show more

  • Fantastic replacement sole!
Color: Black
They were easy to cut down to size with a pair of kitchen utility scissors. I glued them on with shoe goo that I already had, but any good contact cement would work fine. I weighted them down with heavy bags of bird seed for 12 hours. I can't believe I got a brand new pair of soles for $10! shoe makers were quoting me anything from $65 up to the sky's the limit. To resole a pair of ugly old beat-up chacos that I only wear around the house! Not only did I cover the holes and cracks in the soles, but I also got a much superior and safer grip: the soles on the old sandals were worn smooth. Great product! ... show more

  • Big sole!!
Color: Black
BIG... like size 18 or so. Easy to cut. Nice tread. They are a little stiff/thick. Best if shoe is Flat and no curve on the toe. But it works

  • Worried about traction…
Color: Black
I bought these rubber soles to make a pair of hand-made boots. After taking them out of the package, there is tread on them but it isn’t even 1mm deep. Plus, the surface of the rubber is smooth and slick. I measured them on a caliper and they measure 3.9mm thick. The tread depth is 3.3mm thick. That means the tread depth is only 0.6mm from the surface. I can’t comment on the total comfort of them but even the tiniest rock and bump will be felt through the sole. Maybe if you were putting a sole on a shoe meant for blacktop or a court, they might work for you but it just isn’t going to cut it for a boot. ... show more

  • Great replacement soles that make it worth keeping your old shoes.
Color: Black
Not bad at all! Bought them as a budget friendly replacement for the vibram soles that were on my chaco sandals. The soles seem to be made of durable rubber and the tread is nice too. With a tube of shoe goo and some spring clamps I was able to glue down the soles one area at a time until the glue set up. Trimmed the excess off with a box cutter and couldn’t be happier with the results although I would not want to try it on a pair of boots or shoes. That said, they were about 1/4 the price as the vibram replacements and the sandals look great. ... show more

  • New life to a pair of Crocs
Color: Black
I have a pair of Crocs that had pretty worn soles. I decided to see if I could give new life to them with a pair of these and some shoe glue. I sanded the bottom of the crocs to even out the wear spots. My crocs are size 11 and there was plenty of sole to cover them. After trimming the excess and using some clamps the soles worked out great and adhered just fine. Ive put a few miles on them with some casual walks and the sole durability has been great! ... show more
