This little unit is well, a unit! Thin but solid walls, 3/4 inch diameter lag bolts in the recessed closure door. The door is thick and its interior has two holsters and three small storage shelves, which are pretty handy. The slotted rifle organizers are made of a dense foam, and they simply squeeze-fit at whatever height you want to set them at, and they stay out pretty well. The two smaller upper shelves are also nice, useful, and removable. The keypad works great, sensitivity seems on point, and the silent mode is a nice feature to hush the beeps. The keys are also a nice failsafe. There are mounting holes in the base/floor as well as the rear wall. You'll definitely want to anchor this unit as it has a small footprint and the door is fairly heavy. It WILL TIP OVER if the door is open and the safe is empty or not mounted but don't worry because mounting hardware is included. I purchased this unit with the intention of keeping my extra gear, ammo, and a couple of guns away from my toddler. If theft prevention or fire safety is your reason for a safe, get an actual safe. But this thing is great for keeping your gear out of the wrong hands or if your main safe needs a backup/spillover storage solution! Highly recommended! ... show more

Definitely a must have for adult or youth. It’s easy to operate. Battery powered and keys come with it. Shelves and holds 3 pistols in the door has shelves at the top n bottom or the door, several slots for rifles, roomy, very sturdy id recommend mounting it into your closet or garage ect. Doing this review 8 months later but I have zero complaints it’s used for what I bought it for. Does the job. I recommend buying this if you’re looking for a slim but roomy gun storage safe. I like mine a lot better than I thought I would. Don’t have a picture of it atm but I might update it later it looks exactly like the picture shown. ... show more

Great sheet metal gun safe. Works for the money, and came assembled. Packaged awesome with everything protected. Box was ripped and I saw a rusted metal corner but it was protection for the safe itself.

I got my Kaer safe today and I'm very happy. My concerns were, 1.Did I have to assemble it? NO 2. Will it arrive undamaged,packed well,because some reviews complained about shipping damage? YES! 3. Will it be sturdy,offer enough resistance to theft and or break in? YES,for the price! 4. Will it be door heavy,easy to tip? NO! In fact, it's heavy enough without my gear. With my gear,it isn't going anywhere! 5. Will I need my own lighting? DEFINITELY YES! 6. WILL IT be easy to set up? YES! Took me 4 minutes to program my pass! 7. Will my rifle with scope fit? Fightlite SCR,39 in long? I only store 1 rifle so plenty of room scope fits easy! 8.will my handguns fit in the pouches? SiP320 RXP compact with light, and optics? Just barely!! 9. Will my Taurus TX22 fit in the pouch? Easy!! 10. Will my vaultek 2 pistol holder fit on the shelves? Only if you place it to the extreme sides!! 11. Will my Vaultek 8 magazine holder fit on the shelves? Just barely! 12. What can,and will the storage compartments hold? The top one isn't as high as the middle and bottom so anything too tall may not stay put? 13. Is it lined inside? YES,FULLY, and my magnetic motion sensor lights stayed attached. 14.
