I needed a safe I could move between rooms occasionally, and this one is perfect—my teen daughter even helped me shift it once. The size is small but holds 2 rifles (Henry H001 and Remington 870) plus 3 handguns. The thick steel doesn’t feel flimsy at all, and the alarm mode is easy to activate. The only small downside is the LED sensor is a bit sensitive, turning on if I walk too close, but it’s not a big deal.

I was impressed by the little things—like the scratch-proof sponge pad and the door-mounted pistol pouch. It’s compact enough to fit in my wardrobe, so it’s totally hidden. Even though I’m not very strong, I carried it up the stairs alone. The electronic lock with password memory works great, and the 50-second lockout after wrong codes is a good security feature.

I compared a bunch of gun safes, and this KAER one is the most affordable without skimping on quality. The thickened steel is sturdy, and the 180-degree door opening makes grabbing my Mossberg 500 super easy. No assembly needed—saved me so much time. The 3 storage boxes are handy for ammo and cash too. The only tiny thing is the electronic lock’s beep is a bit loud, but I’d rather it be loud than quiet for security.
