We have a tri pod wonder shade umbrella on our patio. On windy days it would blow over and there was no way to stake it into concrete. So I bought these bags and filled them with pee gavel and lay them over the umbrella legs. Problem solved, they work great. I only wish I would have found them sooner on Amazon however better later than never. ... show more

These bags work pretty good on my pop up. The velcro held good to the legs of the pop up and I had no problem with them holding when there was some wind. Each bag is divided into two sections with a velcro closure. The velcro is thick and held up well to the gravel I put in them. My only complaint is that if they were just a little bit larger they could hold more weight. For my uses just a few more pounds could make all the difference in the world. As they are, the weight of them is just a little undersized when they're filled up. A couple more inches of width would really add to the overall weight of the bag. Other than that the bags are well made and are holding up well to usage. I didn't notice any type of wear on the bags from their first full weekend of use and they are light enough that transporting them is fairly simple yet they are heavy enough to keep your pop up in place in moderate wind. I got these sandbags for the small (4' x 8") gazebo I have over my grill. They seem sturdy and were easy to fill (I actually had my six- and eight-year-old kids fill them). They seem sturdy and the velcro closure is strong. I kind of wish they included a small strap to "wrap" the filled sandbags around the legs of whatever you're securing, as they kind of stick out after they're attached. I'll probably grab a pack of bungee cords and work on that myself. ... show more

One thing I like about this kind of sandbag is that, filled, they can still be hauled around. With the use of velcro, they can be combined to make more substantial sandbags. Only one side of our gazebo is subject to lift from winds, so 2 pairs of these on that side, combined, make for very hefty stability. With a combined weight of 240 lbs on each leg, I'm confident that gazebo is not going anywhere. ... show more

These do exactly what they are supposed to do. They are a thinner material. Maybe a nylon blend not sure. They are not something to leave in the garage and expect them to last 15 years. Just not that material. However, they will last you a few years of use and you will get your monies worth out of them before you need to replace them. They are a good value for the price and average usage. If you are say a booth professional who would need these daily I would go with a tanks style weight instead as that would give you the long-term life of the product. These seem to be well made and will hold a lot of weight which is great since our wind can be quite crazy at times. Fill them with sand and they are a great addition to weight down your canopy. I like them.
