No special training or coaxing. We set it up next to their beds and they love it. This is our second cot. We bought this one to take to the beach, but ended up using it in the house also. Our dogs weren't looking to lounge on the beach I guess. Easy to put together, and sturdy enough to support any size dog or dogs that will fit on it. We have a large and a medium cot and they are sturdy enough that our two 20-25 lbs dogs stand up on them to look out the window. Durable 100%. One of our dog scratches at it for 3-5 minutes every night as if he's making a nest before laying down, and not a single loose thread yet after nearly 6-months on one and more than a year on the other. I will say though that they never took to the tent. They just prefer it open. But, the product is so solid and brings them so much joy, we have no regrets about not using the top, and definitely no regrets about the purchase. ... show more

Was is worth $70? No. Does it do what it’s supposed to? Yes. I think the sizing is a little off, I have my Pom in it now but a large is a perfect size for my 10lb pom, could probably fit 3 altogether in there comfortably, but for a large dog? I don’t think so. I think a large would fit a medium size dog comfortably, for a big one I think it would be a tight fit and I wouldn’t want my large dog to be uncomfortable. I wish the front closed, my pom is pregnant and definitely likes her privacy from other pups BUT she also likes keeping an eye on her momma (me) so the side zippers that stay up as “windows” is great. So I just put a blanket over the front then open the window up so she can still see me. And the bed part is in my opinion not like super sturdy, if she was larger I feel she would put a hole in it or break something , bed definitely looks like a cot though if that’s what you’re wanting. Altogether it wasn’t worth $70 but it’s what I have and she got comfortable with it right away so I’m not returning it but wouldn’t purchase again if something were to happen to this one. ... show more

I got the medium for my cats, but they take turns because they are not capable of sharing. It’s a little difficult to get the cover on, but I will get another one because they love it so much. I also bought the cushion that goes with it. Both are quality material and worth the price. The cats say, “Thanks”! ... show more

This is not waterproof the inside is a wet sopping mess. I have the large and maybe the opening is too big? The whole thing gets soaking wet.. so inside food gets ruined. Toys are wet. Cat lies on a wet cot

This was very easy to assemble! Took maybe 10 minutes tops. It sat for a few days and I was starting to think my pitty wasn't going to use it. But, sure enough, I found him in it the one night. Guess he wanted to wait till my girls stopped trying to play w it and he knew it was all his. It hasn't let me down yet! Only thing I need to figure out is how to put a little piece of fabric on the front so he can hide from the girls lol they can be aittle overbearing at times n he likes to hide in my bedroom. But I think if he has hid own hiding spot he would like it more ... show more
