  • Nice material
Size: upgrade Gimbal Tripod Head
Impressive gimbal, the material look amazing. It’s really portable bc you can take apart each part. A little heavy.

  • Excellent Customer Service
Size: 3-Way Geared Head
This product is very well built and should last forever. The gears are smooth although they do require more effort to turn than I would have expected. This is probably due to the fact that the spring that allows the user to override the gear is very strong. Mine arrived with a defect in the plate that holds the camera. When I turned the screw to loosen the plate, it stuck. I hoped that tightening and loosening it and forcing it open with my hands would fix it, but it didn't. I applied WD40 but that didn't help. Finally, I contacted customer service via their website. I received a response within a few hours asking me to provide them with my order number and to supply a video that illustrated the problem. I created a video with my phone, uploaded it to Dropbox and sent the link to customer service. I promptly received a message that the product was defective and that they would send me a new one. The company is located in China and it took about 3 weeks for the new one to arrive. I've checked it over thoroughly and it functions as expected. This was outstanding no-hassle customer service. I'm happy to recommend K&FConcepts for the quality of the product and the customer service. ... show more

  • Very good.
Size: 3-Way Geared Head
I wish I could have been able to keep it. It came down to a fluid head or the 3-Way Geared Tripod Head. I chose the fluid head. But to those into still photography this is a must have. Very well built! Very procise.

  • Great Build and Performance
Size: upgrade Gimbal Tripod Head
**Update** After a week of heavy use, the yaw screw lock stripped while I was unscrewing it. I never tightened it excessively, but it still broke. Initially disappointed, I ordered a replacement from Amazon. I returned the broken one and have been testing the new one thoroughly. I’m happy to report that it’s holding up well so far. I hope the first one was just a lemon and an isolated incident. I’ll provide updates if I encounter any further issues. ** As a newcomer to this type of tripod head, my experience with the K&F Concept Upgraded Gimbal Tripod Head has been fantastic. The product feels sturdy, and I trust it with my heavy lenses. Initially, I was cautious, as using expensive equipment on an unfamiliar device can be unnerving. After watching a few videos on properly setting up and balancing the head on all axes, I was impressed by its performance. Despite being used frequently and stacked with other tripods, it shows no signs of wear or tear. I still thoroughly check and test it before each use, but it is well-built and seems durable over time. If I encounter any issues, I will update this review accordingly. ... show more

  • Compact, accurate, well thought out.
Size: 3-Way Geared Head
Most outstanding 3-axis geared head. Fully aluminum, including the knobs. There is zero play, you cannot budge your camera's position with force. Motion is dampened, so you won't fly past the target. Even when disengaging a gear for a huge axis swing, the camera will not move without applying pressure. Very fine control and huge axis articulation. The weight capacity is awesome, it permits me to mount my camera with a heavy teleconverter to a rod rig to support the lens, with a huge ARRI dovetail. No worries about excess wear on the gears. To obtain more than 5° of positive tilt, you will need to mount it to a ball head if using a video head or an extra wide camera head on your tripod. Of course, you can tilt the head, but for astrophotography you'll want to set the head to level so you can use the elevation markers to hone in on targets. ... show more

  • Game saver!
Size: 3-Way Geared Head
I did not practice enough for the eclipse in Cleveland. Yesterday I found out how hard it was to use a 1000mm lens (500mm with doubler) on a normal ball mount. It was a struggle to keep the sun centered and I had to apply pressure on the set point to do it. I could not let go. The sun pictures are bright enough, but that would not work at totality to get the corona. Got this in 1 day and it is perfect. Sturdy enough for my setup and easy to use both free movement and fine-tuning modes. Found the sun at 600mm, centered it, zoomed to 1000mm, and it was perfect. Moving as it goes across the sky will be easy as well. I will use remote shoot with my iPad for stability during totality. Fine without it with full sun, but not taking any chances during my 3.5 minute window (assuming clouds don’t take some of that). ... show more
