I actually replaced a brand name brand single serve coffee maker with this item, simply because my former one-cup machine did not let me control how much water I used. This has a simple upgrade from my previous coffee maker, which is that you can make anywhere from a 6 ounce to 12 ounce cup of coffee (or tea or hot chocolate, etc.) which is a big perk in our household as my husband, teenager, and I all like our coffee at different strengths. I also love the fact that you can use standard K-cup pods with this, plus it comes with a refillable, reusable cup for your own ground coffee. We usually use ground coffee and try to avoid the disposable pods, but occasionally I'll buy some when they are on a super clearance deal, so I really like having this option. This functions simply and effectively; you just add the desired amout of water, fill your pod with coffee or insert a K-cup, and press one button. My husband could not tell the difference between our former, name brand maker and this one when I used it for his morning cup. The only negatives from my point of view are small aesthetic issues. Namely, there is a sticker/tape on the machine when it arrives that left a really bad sticky residue on the coffee maker. It took me a while to clean the gunk off properly with adhesive remover. Also, it's a little odd to me that the directions/warnings for this are basically printed/etched into the top of the coffee maker. I suppose that's convenient, but doesn't really add to the style for me. While I found both of these things a little annoying, they weren't quite enough for me to dock a star, just worth mentioning in case they'd be an issue for others. Overall this is.a great value in my mind anywhere near its current price point around twenty bucks, so I'd definitely recommend if you're in the market for one.

This single serve brewer fits into tight spaces without feeling cramped. It slides onto the counter without taking over and still feels easy to access when you are half awake and reaching for coffee. The blue finish adds a pop of color instead of blending into another black appliance pile. It handles both pods and grounds without fuss. Some mornings call for quick drops and other days I want a specific grind. Switching between the two feels effortless without extra attachments or weird steps. The brew size options give flexibility for different moods. A quick smaller cup works for busy mornings and the larger option covers slow afternoons when one cup is not enough. Hot and iced both come out clean without watered down flavor. The removable tank makes refills simple without lifting the whole machine. I like being able to see the water level at a glance so I know when it is time to top it off instead of guessing. It settles into daily life easily without demanding attention. You press a button, grab your cup, and move on with your morning without slowing down your flow.

Listen… I’m not saying this single-serve coffee maker is the only thing standing between me and a full emotional collapse every weekday morning, but I am saying that if it ever breaks, my coworkers should run. This little caffeine-launching miracle takes up about as much space as a cereal box and still somehow manages to brew a full 12 oz of “please don’t talk to me yet” coffee in 120 seconds. TWO. MINUTES. That’s faster than my willpower gives up on mornings I try to be a responsible adult. ✔ Brews K-cups? Yes. ✔ Takes ground coffee? Also yes. ✔ Handles the chaos of my mornings better than I do? Absolutely yes. It even has a water tank window so I can pretend I’m in control of something in my life by choosing my brew strength. And when it’s time for cleaning? It politely flashes a red light like, “Hey bestie, maybe let’s de-gunk your life—and also me?” The self-cleaning function deserves its own award. Add cleaner, hold a button, and boom—it's basically giving itself a spa day while I stand there drinking coffee and feeling superior. This small coffee maker has been living on the corner of my desk in the study, and it makes my K-Cup breaks easy. I just fill the water tank, pop in a pod or some ground coffee, press the button, and in about two minutes I have a hot cup or a simple iced Americano if I pour it over ice. The tank comes off for filling and cleaning, and the stainless steel body with the black color looks neat next to my books. I like the strong brew setting when I need a little extra kick in the afternoon. The machine feels sturdy, and the parts wipe clean without much work. The cup size is better for small to medium mugs, for one person in a study it works fine.

This little machine has totally changed my mornings. I’m usually rushing out the door, and the fact that it brews both K-cups and grounds gives me options depending on how chaotic the day is. The strong brew button has become my personal lifeline on early work days. The stainless steel design looks clean on the counter, and the blue color adds such a nice pop. The removable tank is what sold me. I hate refilling every single morning, so being able to get several cups before needing more water makes life easier. The brew sizes are spot on, and the hot or iced setting actually works without making the iced coffee watered down. What surprised me the most was the descaling reminder.
