Speakers sound great. They work fine in the house in small speaker cabinets. The larger 6x9 woofer gives good bass response that is not possible in smaller speaker sizes - no wonder car makers have been using this size for many years. Another bonus for using these in the home - the speakers come with the mid range and tweeter and crossover circuit, which makes for easier installation in small cabinets. Magnet is a little bit on the small size compared to the other speakers I'm replacing. Notice the picture for comparison. The jvc is rated at 400watt peak while the other is rated 300watts peak with a bigger magnet🧐. The sound does not copare anything close to the more expensive unit but, I will say it's worth every penny for what it is. Can't beat $30 lol. It does lack bass but makes up in okay midrange. ... show more

    • A real kick in the backseat

Time to replace my rear speakers after six years of weathering. These speakers have lots of low end, detailed highs. I like to rock out in my car on the drive across town to my job, and these do the trick. After about two weeks of breakin them in, they sound amazing.

For the price you can't beat theses speakers! Installed these in the front doors of my Ram 1500 and they sound great, better than the stock junk with more base and clearer sound. I'll be ordering another pair for the rear doors. Very happy!

They are good for replacing the OEM speakers. Even with the low price, the mid-range sound is very good. However, the base is weak. For most cars, this might be actually better becase it will make the sound felt more clear in cars without too much sound proofing insolation materials. Came on time, and work nicely for the price, (great price BTW 29.99 per pair, bought two) the speakers i replaced were 6x9, but these would not fit despite being 6x9, so had to mount kind of weird, till i can make (modify) a better solution. the basket below the mounting surface is bulged too much to properly seat in the mounting position, so they are sitting somewhat crooked (ALL 4 POSITIONS). Now to the sound, they are good (Real good), glad i bought them, but Jeez the mounting is atrocious. These are supposed to be direct replacements and do not fit. Update, raised them to 5 starts, yes they still don't fit properly, but the sound is awesome for the price. If i wanted to i could make a wood spacer and fix it. so fit is not a bother, but like i said, the sound is great and i have been beating on them, with a stock Dodge SXT 6 disk changer in dash and they will not break ... show more
