The HP was elegant and a great performer with much style and functionality. The Dell is a great performer in all areas but has some rough edges. For example; at night I sometimes need to be able to see the keys. Yes the keys have lighting but it is difficult to still read them due to the lack of quality, low level illumination, and just the quality of the letters and symbols. The HP designers paid attention to this and many other possible issues. Trust me in that the Dell is a powerhouse! Everything that absolutely has to work works well. Bought this at the end of September and once it arrived and I set it up, it has performed like a dream. Went through all the driver updates (automatically notified by Dell) and have used it to create Hyper-V sessions to do other OS experiments with. The 32g of memory is a true benefit as i can allocate a significant amount of ram (4-16g depending on what I am doing) and still have enough RAM for my native OS to perform its normal task without any apparent degradation in performance. (key word being apparent since there is a native OS impact in running a VM). So far having a great time. ... show more

I was unable to turn on the computer after using for a few hours after I charging. I returned the laptop, I had a dell computer before and I didn’t have any issues. It was just getting old so I can’t load current apps. Very bad experience with a dell computer.

Laptop must be returned due to Amazon totally messing up the purchasin process and the laptop being defective!!! This laptop had all the specs I wanted however the bluetooth does not work properly. Spent two hours on the phone with Dell tech support only to hear that the issue could not be corrected even after Dell remoted to the laptop to try to fix the problem. ... show more
