Control GX is the first and only shampoo smart enough to gradually reduce greys by slowly bringing them back to their natural shade while it cleanses and conditions your hair. Then use it in rotation with your usual shampoo to maintain the look you like. There's never been an easier way to control your grey. Get the look you want: Use the control GX as your daily shampoo, and after the first few washes, you'll start to see a subtle reduction in the amount of gray. Continue to use it until you reach your desired level of grey reduction (generally within 2 to 4 weeks). You can even control how gradually you get to your desired result by using it daily or every other day at the start. Keep it that way: Once you've reached the level of grey reduction you like, you can reduce the frequency of use, alternating with another shampoo. In general guys use it as their daily shampoo at the start, and when they are in "maintenance mode" they use it 3 to 4 times a week.

I have grown tired of my hair turning grayer. I have used Grecian Formula in the past, with modest but unsatisfactory results, so I was skeptical but ordered this product with hope. You are told (several times) to do a skin test for 48 hours prior to using as a shampoo to determine if you have an allergic reaction, which I did without incident. I used the shampoo/conditioner every third day, and did two applications per use. They say to leave on for 1-2 minutes, but I left it on for 3-5. By the third use, I noticed my hair was darkening. I started doing two applications in the front and on the sides, and only one application on the top and back of my head which has not started graying. Six weeks in, my hair looks brown and it does not look dyed. The first photo is a headshot taken of me in December, just before my company Christmas party (with TiGi hair masque); the second picture is a selfie I took today with no product in my hair. The photo and description provided by the vendor is accurate. Review is for Just For Men Control GX Grey Reducing 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner I have used this now for ten years. I use it twice a week to keep my entire head minimally gray. Simply shampoo and condition your hair using a small amount to lather your hair. The amount will depend on how much hair you have. Allow the shampoo conditioner to sit on at least 90 seconds (I let it stay on approx three minutes). Rinse thoroughly and you are done. Expert advice: - when opening the foil under the cap, only create a small hole. Keep it small minimizing the air allowed in to increase longevity. Less air in the longer it lasts. I can usually use the same container for an entire month. - You hair will not change completely the first time you use it. It will take several applications to fully reduce the gray to where you want it. - Once you get to where your happy with the amount of gray, you can reduce the number of times a week you use it. Like I said earlier I only need to do it twice a week. - when you are applying the shampoo conditioner try to avoid getting it on your finger nails and cuticles as it will dye them. Use the palms of your hands to massage it in. If you do get it on your fingers (I do every-time) wash your hands thoroughly. This should remove the dye and your fingers wont look dirty.     • Great product, just really hard to mix the ingredients inside.

The product works great, no problems there. It works, does what it says, doesn't smell or burn the skin. However, it's not mixed well in the tube and is very hard to get it to mix. I've used 4-5 tubes of the shampoo and the beard wash each and experienced this every time. The first half of the product is very light brown, almost beige and thick. The second half is pure black and thin as water. Having used regular Just For Men touch of gray products I assume the first half is the activator and the second half is the color. Even shaking this thing until kingdom come won't get the two to mix. I usually end up squirting just a little of the new tube and mixing it with the end of the last tube to achieve somewhat of a proper mixture :/ If you're brave, i've had the best luck once it's almost half used to blow into the tube, filling it with air and then having some luck shaking it and getting the product inside to mix. If anyone else has any ideas on how to get this to mix better i'd love to hear it!! ... show more

I used to use Grecian Formula but now that lead acetate has been outlawed it seems like it doesn’t work any more. I tried this shampoo and it works great. As per the instructions, use it two or three times until you have the color you want then use regular shampoo and use this as needed to maintain he effect. Works great! ... show more

This stuff flat out works. I’ve tried other in shower products, this one is best. I like the smell and leaves hair nice and soft. It lasts a while too. I only need to use 2x a week once I established my color back. Be careful to not splash all over shower or make sure to wipe down quickly. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much especially as a black guy with coarse hair, but it works. Not super black, but my gray grows in so weird and I just want it to be consistent and this makes it consistent. I see a few gray hairs but that is fine with me.
