Very simplistic, no color photos, promise free phase books and maps but when I tried several times to get them in my email, no results. Very disppointed ! Want to get the maps and phrasebooks???

The book is concise and on point. Gives a short history of the countries and highlights attractions, must see places and spaces, gives suggestions on food and accommodations as well.

This book covers the very basics you need for traveling to either Spain or Portugal. It is not as comprehensive as Fodors. Clearly for a beginner going to Europe. The COVID information is outdated

Second strike in a row on travel books this month. I am used to using LP, Brandt and Let's Go (even DK back in the day). Just arrived and I can tell that Ill be shelving it already. No pics, maps, minimal input from the author, etc.. Overall it's just lack luster. I guess I will just have to go back and get a pre 2020 travel guide. ... show more

It may not be bad for a first time traveler who is fresh out of high school. It has many obvious, ”duh” suggestions such as “stick to a daily budget”, “avoid impulse buying”, “ choose your mode of transportation,” “plan and pack” “ avoid paying for too many drinks at bars“ Really? Who wrote this? There is very little meat to this guidebook. The printing is large. Although it’s 160 pages of supposed suggestions, it could be fit in a large pamphlet. Fifth grade reading level.
