High-Quality Sand for Naturalistic Enclosures High-Quality Sand for Naturalistic Enclosures
Color: Red
Size: 10lb
This is a great sand option for anyone looking for a substrate that isn’t too fine and has a more natural, grainy texture. The bag size is generous for the price, and it worked perfectly for my blue death feigning beetles. It looks fantastic in their Australian outback-themed enclosure and adds a nice, realistic touch. It’s also super easy to use you can just pour it directly into your tank without needing to rinse it first. If you want to rinse it to cut down on dust, you can, but just be aware that you might lose a bit of sand in the process. I personally didn’t find rinsing necessary. Cleaning is simple too. I just spot-clean it every now and then to remove leftover food or waste, and that’s really all it takes to keep it looking good. Overall, this sand is high-quality, easy to work with, and an excellent value for the amount you get. Highly recommend it for anyone setting up a desert or arid habitat.

Great look, and bearded dragon loves it.
Color: Red
Size: 20lb
I recently decided to upgrade my bearded dragon's habitat, and let me tell you, introducing him to this new sand substrate has been an absolute game-changer! First and foremost, the quality of this sand is superb. It's finely ground and sifted, ensuring a soft and comfortable surface for my reptilian friend to roam and bask on. I was initially concerned about the potential for impaction, but after thorough research and testing, I can confidently say that this sand is safe and gentle on my bearded dragon's sensitive belly. But what truly surprised me is how much my bearded dragon adores this sand! From the moment I introduced it to his enclosure, he immediately began exploring and burrowing with sheer delight. It's heartwarming to see him so content and engaged in his environment, thanks to the naturalistic feel of this sand. Furthermore, I appreciate the ease of maintenance that this sand offers. It's effortless to spot clean and sift, keeping my bearded dragon's habitat clean and hygienic without any hassle. Plus, the natural color of the sand adds a visually appealing aesthetic to his enclosure, creating a beautiful and serene environment for him to thrive in. In conclusion, I couldn't be happier with this sand substrate for my bearded dragon. Not only does it provide him with a comfortable and enriching habitat, but it also brings me joy to see him so happy and content. If you're a fellow reptile enthusiast looking to enhance your pet's living space, I highly recommend giving this sand a try. Trust me, your bearded dragon will thank you for it

Love it so far. This is the first loose substrate I've used and I love that the bag shows you exactly what region of Australia it's from, feels very authentic haha. I feel like you get a good amount of sand from 1 bag, but I did only fill half of my 120 gallon tank with it. Works perfect for my needs and so far, bearded says she likes it. Very easy to use, fits well into space, manageable, and fun for a bearded dragon to dig. I'll repurchase again and again.

Great for beardies! Great for beardies!
Color: Red
Size: 10lb
This is the best substrate for bearded dragons since it comes directly from their natural habitat. My guy loves digging in this, and it’s pretty easy to clean. You need several bags to fill a properly-sized enclosure, but it is so so worth it. You don’t need to bother with mixing multiple substrates like you would with regular sand, so it’s super easy to use and set up. It also holds up well, and you won’t find yourself changing it out completely unless your dragon regularly eliminates in the substrate. Your dragon will be so much better off with this stuff!

Great texture and function, but don’t expect deep red Great texture and function, but don’t expect deep red
Color: Red
Size: 10lb
I was genuinely excited to try this Australian Jurassic Sand for our bearded dragons’ habitat, especially because I was expecting a rich, red desert tone. When it arrived, I was so surprised by the color that I actually thought I had received the wrong one. Instead of red, it appears much more like a light yellow or soft tan. That said — once I got past the color disappointment — I was pleasantly surprised. The sand blend itself is excellent. It has a very natural appearance and creates a realistic desert look in the enclosure, even if it’s not as red as expected. More importantly, our bearded dragon seems to really enjoy it. One of our biggest concerns was health risk due to impaction, especially since loose substrates sometimes get a bad reputation. I was specifically watching to see if it would stick heavily to their food — and thankfully, it doesn’t. It adheres minimally, which gives me more peace of mind during feeding time. It’s also: Easy to spot-clean Low dust compared to many other sands Not overly messy outside the enclosure While I do wish the color leaned more red to better match our habitat aesthetic, the performance and quality have won me over. I will absolutely be purchasing it again. If you’re buying this strictly for a deep red tone, just be aware it’s more of a light desert shade. But in terms of functionality and dragon approval, it’s a solid choice.

Product is pricey but worth it. I had my dragon on a play sand/soil/excavator clay mix, I read up on Reptifiles.com and found this to be top recomendation for substrates, so i chose it when I cleaned out Igris's tank. After putting him back in his tank after cleaning, he went right to work digging and burrowing, which i never really saw him do on his old substrate. So he seems to love it.
